Biography
The O'Brien Law Firm is likely the only law firm in Texas that focuses *exclusively* on representing employees and executives (never employers) in unpaid compensation and employment contract disputes. I am used to employees coming to me with feelings of frustration and helplessness. I understand. My job is to use my experience and expertise to give you power and leverage against an employer who won't pay you what you've earned and/or to negotiate (and sometimes force) a better result. Once you hire my firm to help you, you no longer have to try to figure out the solution yourself.
We typically take on cases pursuing unpaid compensation for a fee rate of 1/3 of your recovery. That means you do not pay my firm any money up front to go after your unpaid compensation, and my firm only gets paid if and when you get paid. At the same time, I always have an eye on your overall best interests when advising you on your options.
I'm a former Texas assistant attorney general and a former Texas Workforce Commission hearing officer. I'm specifically board certified in Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, which I was awarded in 2016 due to my extensive knowledge and experience from representing employees since 2008. I'm also a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association - an employees' rights organization.

Did a great job ,
Needed some help with TWC on a overpayment, which TWC made a mistake. However under the Law not much can be done other than file a civil suit . Way to much trouble. Kerry did all he could do. If I had it todo again I would have contacted Kerry for the first phone hearing... oh well . Thanks Kerry.
