Call Before You Try Dealing with the Board on Your Own

This review is for the outstanding legal advice and services that I received from Taralynn MacKay, JD. Ms. MacKay helped me with a situation that struck out of the blue with regard to my nursing license in Texas and consequently also California because of downstream effects. Due to an administrativ...e error my multi-state license was restricted. I am a nurse educator an travel nurse and frequently see patients outside of Texas. This was terrible news. It turns out that I had a stipulated order from the Board of Nursing in Texas. It was for something minor and I did not question it. I never figured that it would be a big deal if I just fulfilled the order and went to the classes. When I got the notice from the Board and completely had a melt-down, I called Taralynn. It was the weekend so I did not expect a call back but I did receive a call first thing Monday morning. She reviewed my case with me and we entered into a very fair-priced agreement for her to assist me. She laid out the plan that she would do on my behalf and clearly laid out the expectations she had of me. I received a call from her later the week after our initial call and she told me that she felt that the stipulated order itself was in error and she was going to petition the Board for rehearing and removal of the order itself. I didn’t even realize that was possible, but Taralynn did. We recently received word that the Order was removed and my license was restored fully. This is a HUGE weight off my shoulders. Even if the case had not gone as I wanted I would still be writing this review. I am a nurse! Legal issues are as foreign to me as auto mechanics. Taralynn made things easy to understand, she managed my expectations well and GREATLY EXCEEDED my needs for legal representation. If you have ANY questions about your licensure, please don’t try to do it yourself. Getting help from a professional is not as expensive as you think AND if you lose your license that IS expensive. Taralynn MacKay is a thoughtful, professional, brilliant, forward-thinking nurse attorney that I truly felt was advocating for me. Thank you Taralynn.

Highly Recommended

My family is very happy with the service we received from Ms. Mackay; she was an excellent choice. She called me back promptly, kept me informed throughout the process, and in the end my case had a very favorable conclusion. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that Ms. Mackay was proactively rea...ching out to the BON to inquire on my case when there was an unusual delay. Also, the price that Ms. Mackay had quoted did not change even when my case required some extra unforeseen processing. Thank you Ms. Mackay for the excellent service.

Taralyn. Mackay

Miss Mackay was absolutely brilliant. I was not going to get an attorney to handle my case because I thought it would all work out. After about a year and a half I was given a proposed order that seriosly limited my practice. I contacted Miss Mackay and she went to work arguing via letter what the pr...oof of my innocence was. She worked out a payment arrangement with me and was so calm and genuine. Her assistant Ashley and her responded back promptly and kept me informed. At almost 2 years my case was dismissed. Miss Mackay called me herself and seemed to truly be happy for me. She has given me back my life and I cannot thank her enough. Such a blessing!

Your Top Choice

These can be very stressful times. Taralynn and her wonderful assistant Ashley were on top of everything on my case, and assured me from day one that I would receive Grade 'A' representation. I am so happy that I retained Taralynn Mackay, and if there's anyone out there looking for legal representati...on in Healthcare, I STRONGLY, recommend TaraLynn. She responded to every e-mail and kept me abreast of everything that was occurring with my case. She's an excellent lawyer, with an excellent team, and I highly recommend her!

"Taralynn is more than just another attorney who passionately represents her clients - personally, she is also a great mentor. When I started out as a new attorney (many would say I am still a new attorney, but I digress), Taralynn was supportive of my efforts to serve nurses in Texas with the same high professional standards that she exemplifies. I believe that I would not be the attorney I am today if it was not for the advice Taralynn has offered whenever I have needed the assistance."
