Ms. Mackay did an awesome job of helping me keep my license. It was a process that took roughly 2 years, but she kept me informed and saw it to the end. She was always quick to respond and very helpful. I would recommend her to any nurse looking for legal help.

Gave me hope

Ms. Taralynn gave me hope when I had a TBON case. She advised me and gave me the worst case scenario and best case scenario. I followed her steps and everything ended in best case scenario. Taralynn gave me hope to continue being a nurse. I recommend her for any nurse.

Excellent and knowledgeable attorney

There isn’t anything more stressful than facing the possibility of losing your nursing license. I can’t say enough how thankful I am to have retained Ms. Mackay. She was invaluable and successful in her endeavor to assist me.

Highly Recommend!!

I cannot recommend Ms. Mackay enough!! When I first received the notice of allegations against my license, I was overwhelmed, and by using my NSO insurance, I was able to find her from the list of attorneys in Texas. When I contacted her, she was able to explain the entire process in a way that I cou...ld understand, and was very patient with all my questions and concerns. She lets you know what is expected and will help you construct answers that will benefit your case. She will fight for you and not stop until your case is resolved in a manner agreeable to both parties. I hope to not utilize her services again, but to others who are in need of help with board complaints, hire her. It will be the best decision you will make and you won't regret it. 10/10 recommend.

Charges Dropped!

I had a RN licensing mess on my hands and was dealing with it from the East Coast. From the onset Ms. Mackay gave me the information and reassurance that she could get my case dismissed or exhaust all efforts trying. As a nurse, she understands the nuances of licensing laws in Texas and deals with th...e BON directly. Other attorneys I spoke with claimed to have the same expertise, but it was very clear by their language and lack of understanding, that they did not. So glad I went to Taralynn. Within a month my charges were dismissed. No hidden or extra fees. She was very clear and straightforward. I cannot thank her and her team enough! Such an enormous relief.

"Taralynn is more than just another attorney who passionately represents her clients - personally, she is also a great mentor. When I started out as a new attorney (many would say I am still a new attorney, but I digress), Taralynn was supportive of my efforts to serve nurses in Texas with the same high professional standards that she exemplifies. I believe that I would not be the attorney I am today if it was not for the advice Taralynn has offered whenever I have needed the assistance."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
