Excellent! Knowledgable! Superb!

Taralynn is very personable and really works for her nurses. I cannot express enough my gratitude I feel for everything she did for me. I strongly urge if you are a nurse facing the state boards to hire her as your lawyer. You won't be disappointed.

License protection

She is one of the finest attorneys that protect healthcare professionals. Do not sign a board order without consulting her first. This is important since you have one license, and only one. I consulted her regarding my case and my case was dismissed. I am thankful of her knowledge, and her grace. Wit...hout her expertise, my license would have been effected forever. Thank you Taralynn!

An extraordinary, honest, empathetic, caring woman

After having a series of frustrating experiences with attorneys., I found Tarralynn Mackay a refreshing change. She was confident and reassuring immediately easing the fear of the possibility of my nursing license being threatened. She was in tune to the financial effects resulting from this law... suit and had several options of payment and I never felt as though my case would be compromised because of lack of resources. I was pleasanty surprised that with a minimal retainment fee she was more than agreeable to take on my challenge. Words can not explain the shock when I received a check for a refund for almost half of the retainer. Her knowledge of nursing, the law, the board, and the personalities of individuals involved resulted in what seemed to be an effortless resolution of my situation. She was also able to address my needs without the inconvenience of my having to drive all the way to Austin. Despite the fact that I had never met her I never felt as though our relationship was impersonal. In fact, it was just the opposite. I was kept informed in a very timely manner. She seemed to personally handle my situation avoiding miscommunications as a result of the involvement of uninformed associates. I felt as though I had direct access to her and she always responded quickly and efficiently. Her personality and knowledge immediately reassured me that she would manage my case proffesionally and yet with empathy. I did not need to make one phone call to prompt her to keep my case a priority or remind her that I was anxiously awaiting resolution. Obviously I can not adequately convey the respect I have for her. However, I feel 100% confident recommending her for anything for anyone. I sense that if there were a situation she did not feel competent in, she would admit it and offer options. You would be cared for one way or another.

One Of a Kind

It was through recomendation of other nurses she was able to help put behind me in 2002-she is the first and only attorney esp for nurses that I would recommend in a heart beat-- All issues with the state board of nursing were dropped--I can never thank her enough for being there--George Mahn and Joa...nne Owen

"Taralynn is more than just another attorney who passionately represents her clients - personally, she is also a great mentor. When I started out as a new attorney (many would say I am still a new attorney, but I digress), Taralynn was supportive of my efforts to serve nurses in Texas with the same high professional standards that she exemplifies. I believe that I would not be the attorney I am today if it was not for the advice Taralynn has offered whenever I have needed the assistance."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
