Replied last June 13, 2023It is impossible to please everyone 100% of the time. We are limited in our response by attorney client privilege. However, what we can say is he has misrepresented the facts and circumstances in his case and the following information is part of the public record. We were retained to represent him on November 9, 2022, for 3 criminal charges (terroristic threat, assault family violence 2nd or more, and violation of bond condition by assault). At the time he retained us, he had 3 active warrants on each of those cases—we had nothing to do with his active warrants. He failed to resolve those warrants throughout the period of our representation. As noted in the posted images he attached to this review—he paid us $5000 at the time he retained us. We continued to represent this individual for the next 7 months—providing legal services not only on the 3 criminal charges (which required numerous court appearances, several hours of negotiating with different prosecutors and over 15 hours of discovery/evidence review), but Jodi also provided additional legal services to defend him against a civil protective order without any additional charge to him. On May 30, 2023, Jodi filed a motion to withdraw from his cases for among other things, inability to effectively communicate with the client. In response, this individual called and informed the court that he opposed Jodi’s motion to withdraw and demanded that Jodi remain his legal counsel. The Court set the motion to withdraw for a hearing. On June 6, 2023, a hearing was held on Jodi’s motion to withdraw, and the motion was granted. In response to the Court granting Jodi’s motion to withdraw over his objection, he posted this review. We wish this individual all the best and support his decision to handle his cases in the way that he sees best—unfortunately it will need to be with another attorney.
