Shawn graduated from St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. While attending St. Mary's, Shawn received the Dean's Scholarship, made the Dean's list for being in the top ten percent of his class, and wrote for the law journal. Prior to law school, Shawn attended St. Edward's University in Austin Texas, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in political science.

Upon graduating from law school, Shawn immediately began to build a litigation-based practice. As a young lawyer, he cut his teeth in the Bexar District and County Courts in San Antonio, Texas, pursuing every opportunity available to become a better trial attorney. His first trial was a family law case, and that is where his focus remains today.

Shawn is a zealous advocate for the families that he represents. He will tirelessly fight to ensure that your rights are protected. He knows the law and how to best position his cases for success throughout the litigation process.

In his free time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and playing music.

Truely decaited to his clients!
This man holds himself to such a high standard that nobody that hires him could ever he laid down. It was refreshing to be around somebody who was so passionate and knowledgeable. No doubt he genuinely cares about the end results for his client. You can bet I won't step in court without him!

This is a Lawyer that is sincerely concerned about Justice!
When every one else saw me as a paycheck. Shawn saw me as a person being abused by the system! He gave me great advice, and he was the only lawyer I would use period. I was ready to sell a kidney to give this guy my business! Thank you for putting the T back into trust. He went above and beyond to make sure I was protected by law. He is a credit to his field. If there were more lawyers like Shawn the court would not be jammed up with false allegations. His integrity speaks for its self! If you do not hire this guy you are doing yourself an in justice!

The Attorney of the century! Very Professional.
I would truly hire this Attorney over anyone. Besides being extremely helpful in my criminal cases. He was very reliable and explicable during my court process. If you want to feel confident walking into that court room I highly suggest you hire Shawn H. Smith. He is better than your average lawyer, Using his professional skills to assure you will have the best outcome possible. I would choose him again for my legal issues, but I hope not to have anymore.

Shawn has been amazing... he really takes the cases personally and goes that extra mile to look out for your best interests.. keeps you we informed and is so honest.. he keeps a relaxed atmosphere for his client and then turns on is warrior switch in the courtroom.. would never turn to anyone else...

From the first meeting with Shawn we were impressed and hired him immediately. He is smart, quick, sees the bigger picture of a case, and is quick to formulate winning strategies. This guy still yells at me and says the 'JC' word which I have asked EVERY time I talked to him, not to swear like that. As far as my case, again I paid half his salary last year and he didn't do much but threaten, and then he mad the judge mad too... Unless you have an extra $30K to throw away and then hire new cousfel- DO NOT hire this guy!!!!!! He will eat you in fees and his 'time.' And, he is SUCH a joke.....
