When I first started working with Steve, his paralegal assured me that Steve "owns" Judge Gilbert. I didn't know why until I looked up the situation online and realized that Steve got Tracey out of 200k of child support! To be frank, I needed that relationship because my ex-husband had audio of me hi...tting and screaming at our children. He knew that wouldn't play well in court so Steve continued to string the proceedings along knowing my ex-husband didn't have the financial ability to keep fighting for custody. So why not 5 stars? While I appreciate Steve gaming the system to my advantage, he also withheld the fact that he has cancer and often wouldn't respond to my communications or complete necessary tasks. He'd lie and say it was the opposing counsel's fault until his paralegal let it slip about his condition.

Steve and his team will to fight for you with truth and reason. When you are crying happy tears in mediation thinking I never thought it could be this good. You know why you hired Steve. I changed from a previous attorney to Steve Jackson in the middle of my case. I was going through a very contentious divorce/custody battle with extremely ugly accusations being leveled against me. Initially, I hired Steve as co-counsel at the recommendation of my first attorney who highly recommend...ed him to assist her. After the first time witnessing his abilities in the court room, I hired Steve exclusively, as I found him to be superior in terms of his understanding of case law and ability to understand and adapt to changing circumstances and opposing counsel tactics. Asking around, Steve is at the top of nearly everyone's list of talented litigators and his billing rate reflects that, but I found him to be more cost effective than my previous attorney. When going through a difficult event such as my divorce was, it's easy to rack up billable hours venting about the situation while relaying pertinent events as they unfold. Steve has a great group of paralegals and other attorneys that are not as expensive which handle this. They all seem to work very well together, and Steve was always prepared and ready to litigate. This divorce was my first real experience with the law and courts. Steve was always available day, night, or weekends. To give an example, my ex-wife reported me to CPS following a loss in a court proceeding and they showed up at my house unexpectedly asking to interview my kids. I immediately contacted Steve via text. He replied within minutes and actually met CPS at my house. There was never any merit to any of my ex-wife's accusations and Steve represented me with that in mind. He worked closely with my children's counselor or anyone else I asked him to. He predicted and prepared for events that I never would have expected. In the end, I was awarded sole custody of my three young children. I don't think anyone can say the family court system is very kind to fathers and seeing a dad gain custody is a rare thing. Steve Jackson and Associates did that for me and I am very thankful to them.

Jackson Law Firm did a fascinating job handling my child custody case. It was a very long case with lots of issues that they worked through. The attention to detail that the Jackson Law Firm provided (both Steve and Meredith) was outstanding. They won my case because of the time and effort they pu...t into preparing for trial. I was able to reach them 7 days a week and at all hours of the day and night. Steve worked extremely hard and long hours to ensure he knew every detail of the case and it showed during the 5 day trial. It felt like I wasn't just another client to them, but a part of their family. They understood my concerns and the need to change the custody situation of my child.
