Bobby King Newman

Bobby represented me in a complex divorce. I was hesitant to hire him at his $650 per hour rate, but it was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. My x-wife's attorney is $450 per hour, but consistently has 20% higher charges than Bobby despite his more expensive rate. He is extrem...ely efficient. While not an attorney, I had been in charge of the legal department for my former company. I used to think that great attorneys were aggressive and wanted to win for the sake of winning. Bobby is all that, but is flexible enough to change his style to match the circumstance. We had two different judges in this case and he quickly picked up on the right tone for each one. In one case aggressive, in the other collaborative. His memory is unbelievable. There were half a dozen times that something came up in testimony that he jumped on immediately from his memory of conflicting testimony he heard a year ago. On another occasion he was so troubled by opposing councils unreasonable bills he volunteered to not get paid until their bills could be reviewed. My feeling was that was beyond the "call of duty." I was also surprised by his very sharp financial acumen. Above-all he seems to understand what I was going throw. Instead of just giving me the safest and most conservative answers, he is confident enough to understand when to take calculated risks and when not to. He welcomed my participation in my case and really listened to my concerns. Cannot recommend him more highly. This guy made my life and my kids’ lives materially better.

I hired Bobby to handle my divorce and help me get custody of my infant son. He didn't spend much time learning the details of the case. He relies on his aggressive tactics and brings many unnecessary motions to have more time in court. When I ran out of money to pay his fees, he dropped my case i...mmediately and left me in a precarious position. He has now permanently damaged what little bit of trust and relationship I had left with my ex-spouse which makes it impossible for us to effectively parent our child.
