Biography
Alex Wathen comes from a family of Catholic Kentucky bourbon makers. Some of his relatives still make Wathen's Kentucky Bourbon. Alex has taken on a much more global perspective and likes to learn and experience new cultures and people in different parts of the world. He also speaks French, Spanish, and Swedish. Although having received some education in Europe, Alex is a great believer in our educational system in the United States. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Southern California, his M.L.S. degree from the University of North Texas, and his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota. He has also taken classes at various other colleges and universities to enrich himself. Alex has continued his commitment to education as a lawyer. He speaks at several continuing legal education conferences each year throughout Texas and in Mexico. Alex believes that good colleges are not the ones who educate you, but teach you how to educate yourself.
