Horrible Experience
I’m sharing this review to not only highlight the disastrous experience I had with Busby & Associates—particularly with attorney Andrew Iwata and Michael Busby—but also to caution others who may be seeking legal counsel. My custody modification case was handled in such a negligent and unprofessional ...
The facts as alleged are not true. This person ran out of gas on the one visitation I secured that person with their children. I can only do so much. I withdrew because this person is not a self starter and does nothing to self improve. Lawyers do not gas up cars for clients to see their children.....

Lack of attention to detail
I hired Busby in March of 2016 for a modification of child support. He screwed up my case. He had an associate attorney appear on my behalf when he said he would go and he never apologized when I brought it to his attention. He was disorganized and called me last minute (night before court) to get mo...
Child support is easy enough to calculate. Visitation calendar and child support calculations can all be found here (https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/cs/welcome-to-the-child-support-division). Now, I tell everyone to go first to the Attorney General of Texas, because it is free, if your only issue is child support. The State of Texas provides as a service to the taxpayer, free services to adjust child support up or down, or to establish child support. The Texas attorney general has access to Texas workforce commission wages, (unemployment insurance) to verify wages, I do not. So, for about 75% of the public and those of you reading this post, you would never want to pay a lawyer for child support services, when you can get a better service from the Attorney General for no cost. For the 25% of people for whom are self employed, want to pay or receive child support that is above or below the guidelines, or have other child custody issues not part of the services that could be provided by the attorney general, you need to lawyer up. Thus, in the case at hand, to say I am not efficient, and I called someone the day before court, and that was it, well of course I am so sorry to let you down, but I ask, Was it more than child support? Perhaps you were a non-resident of Texas? But the child resided here? Perhaps you were a candidate for maximum child support? And the mother wanted above guidelines? Perhaps there were other child custody issues in addition to child support? Perhaps there was an issue for credit for possession? Perhaps you never hired me at all, but I had you held in contempt for failure to pay child support and you are posting a false review? As a businessman and a consumer, before I post something about a service for which I would and expect more, I always call the owner or a manager to address my concern and then decide if the explanation was satisfactory. As I was given no chance to troubleshoot with Jose his complaints, I can only wish him well and a Happy New Year.

Worst Lawyer please stay away
I initially spoke with Mr.Busby assuming he would be handling my case. My case was sent to one of his associates. I gave them over $2000.00 for my divorce case. I had two appointments for court which they never showed up to court, therefore my case had to be reset twice. Several times I tried to rea...
My cell number is 281 704 0723. My email is [email protected]. Everyone is given my contact information. Seems like you reviewed me twice. Sorry to let you down. I hope your current lawyer does better than I.

Took my money and did nothing for my case
Stay far away from this lawyer took two thousand dollars from me and did nothing. Also never returned any of my phone calls.
Phone calls are returned within one business day. If they are not, it means I need to fire somebody. Two thousand dollars is a lot of money to take from someone and do nothing. Any lawyer who does something like that, should be investigated by the bar. At the time of writing this response, there is no pending investigation against me. Thus, I can only speculate that I could not get you what you wanted, but worked on your case, and you were frustrated with the result. Seems like you got me pretty good with a double review? Sorry to let you down.
