Former Client

As a former client, I had numerous interactions with Mr. Bennett. I found him to be trustworthy, responsive, and diligent. Most important to my case was Mr. Bennett's ability to decipher and clearly understand the the opposing side's possible stance which dictated the appropriate adjustments to our... strategy. I highly recommmend him to any professionals with licensure issues.

Absolutely the Best Attorney for Licensing Issues

I hired Mr.Bennett to represent me at a hearing in front of the Texas Board of Law Examiners. He is an outstanding attorney who truly cares about representing his clients. You will not find an attorney in Texas who is more professional or thorough in his representation. I first contacted Mr. Benne...tt in early 2010 when it appeared I may be facing character and fitness issues in obtaining my license to practice law in Texas. With my entire future on the line and having no knowledge of how the BLE hearing process worked, I knew this was not the time to practice my newly acquired advocacy skills. My initial contact was by email but Mr. Bennett immediately contacted me by phone even though it was after business hours to help answer my questions. His patience and knowledge of the licensing process was a comfort during my time of great anxiety and emotion. As the date for my hearing approached my emotions and anxiety reached an all time high but Mr. Bennett and his equally professional and knowledgeable staff were able to calm me and keep me focused on the end result providing me with equal amounts of personal concern and professional representation the entire way. This was a very stressful time for me and to have an attorney who not only cares but is also able to remain detached in order to provide you with expert representation is a true rarity. Mr. Bennett personally walked me through the hearing process and was thorough in his guidance and expert advice fully preparing me to speak in front of the Board and making sure I had the proper tools to thoroughly present my case to them. He was very candid with me about the possible outcome and best and worst case scenarios. He was knowledgeable in all aspects, trustworthy and honest continuously going above and beyond what a typical lawyer would. In the end my license to practice law was granted and I will forever be appreciative of all his and his entire staff's hard work and dedication to my case.

Won my ethics case

I hired Bob Bennett to handle my case after the Texas Board of Law Examiners made a preliminary determination that I lacked the present good moral character to be granted a license to practice law in the state. I was extremely impressed in the way Bob and his entire staff handled my case. From my i...nitial consultation when Jeff, Bob's legal assistant, was very familiar with my file, through to the final determination in my favor, Bob and his staff always made me feel confident and comfortable about the representation and outcome. I was especially impressed in the promptness in which both Bob and Jeff responded when I called or emailed with questions and concerns, even on the weekends and in the evenings. My hearing before the board could not have gone more smoothly. Mr. Bennett's experience in front of the board was paramount. He had prepared me (as much as he possibly could have) for the Board's questions, and for what what to expect during the hearing. I felt as comfortable and confident as possible given my situation. The board ruled in my favor. I would recommend Bob Bennett to anyone with BOLE issues.

Best Lawyer in the State For Texas Bar Application Issues

I went to Mr. Bennett because I had character and fitness concerns about my Texas Bar Exam application. He examined my application and was able to tell me whether my concerns were justified. It turns out that I was just being paranoid. But it always helps to have a second opinion when filling out suc...h important papers. Mr. Bennett was able to recite to me chapter and verse numerous questions on the Texas Bar Exam Application. I was truly impressed. Based on his familiarity with the questions, it was obvious that he has done this many times before. Don't take a chance with your future career, if you are worried about character and fitness issues for the Texas Bar Application, then I suggest calling Mr. Bennett today.

Bennett is focused on WINNING. Fortunately, I was his client!

After completing 2 years of law school as a model student, I became the subject of an intense investigation by the Board of Law Examiners in response to my declaration of intent to practice law. Throughout my character and fitness investigation, I had to amend my law school application twice and com...ply with the Board’s multiple “additional requests,” which included undergoing an evaluation by a chemical dependency counselor who was chosen by the Board. At the end of the investigation, I was facing (1) a non-disclosure issue on my law school application and (2) a determination that I presently suffer from a chemical dependency. Bennett stepped in and provided outstanding representation at a digestible rate, which resulted in a very favorable outcome for me. At all times, Bennett and his staff kept me informed and advised of additional things I could provide to persuade the Board to drop the investigation and certify my character and fitness. Although the Board ultimately made a preliminary determination that I lacked the character and fitness to practice law (while I was studying for the bar exam), Bennett was able to prevent a hearing and secure my ability to practice law upon passing the bar. Bennett proposed an aggressive course of action, and I followed each and every one of his recommendations to my benefit. Without Bennett’s help and invaluable advice, I would be having a character and fitness hearing in December while all of my friends are practicing law. In my case, where a hearing seemed inevitable and a probationary license probable, Bennett was able to persuade the Board to forego a hearing and allow me to obtain a full license upon passing the bar. I cannot express my gratitude for Bennett and the wonderful staff at his firm. Without them, I would be facing complete denial of my law license or, in the best case, a probationary license. They achieved what seemed like an impossible outcome. Thank you, Bob Bennett & Associates!

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2017.

Partially Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2017

updated on 11/17/2021

Partially Probated Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. When the attorney returns to practice, he or she will be on probation, meaning the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Robert’s comment:

“The judge who imposed the sanction was removed from office. The SBOT Assistant Disciplinary Counsel who handled the case has left the OCDC in disgrace and the Chief Disciplinary Counsel was replaced. If you go to www.ocdc-revealed.com, you will see that I was prosecuted for political reasons and the case was reversed. If you fight with vigor and determination for your clients, you will upset the powers that be. We fought, we won, and are now fully reinstated. We can win for you!”
