First Class BLE Representation

When your livelihood is on the line, you can trust Mr. Bennett. I began receiving requests, for what essentially amounted to be admissions, from the Board of Law Examiners shortly after filing my declaration of intent to practice. It became clear to me that I needed a lawyer, because I could not ta...ke on the BLE on my own. I did my research and all the signs pointed toward Mr. Bennett. He is a very respected attorney with many years of experiance dealing with the BLE, and that is exactly what you need when you are facing any licensing issue. I was very pleased with the way Mr. Bennett handled my case. It is quite possible that I would not be practicing law today without the first-class representation Mr. Bennet provided.

Thoroughly Impressed with BLE Representation.

After having difficulty getting an unrestricted law license in another jurisdiction due to a few alcohol infractions, I decided to practice in Texas. Knowing that my past youthful indiscretions, and withdrawing my bar application from the other jurisdiction would undoubtedly pose problems, I decided ...to contact Mr. Bennett and get his advice. I sent him an e-mail one evening, and was absolutely impressed that he had the courtesy to respond that very evening. At my initial consultation, he exhibited his experience and explained what course of action I should take. By following his suggestions, I was able to get my preliminary determination letter withdrawn, allowing me to obtain an unrestricted law license--without the need for a hearing! I cannot recommend Mr. Bennett highly enough. His entire staff was extremely courteous and kept me informed of recent developments in my case. For BLE representation, there is simply no better attorney than Mr. Bennett.

When dealing with the Texas Board of Law Examiners, it is very unusual to have a Preliminary Determination Letter ("PDL") withdrawn. While we have been able to accomplish this feat for serveral law student applicants to the Texas Bar Association, there is probably a 90% probability that if you get a PDL, you will be in a hearing before the BOLE within a reasaonable time. Where we have been able to get the PDL withdrawn, we have had to amass a significant amount of evidence to show that a person is no longer affected by an addiction, substance, or behaviour. Professional opinions. affidavits, body fluid tests, polygraph examinations, and personal statements have all been used to demonstrate that there is not a need for a hearing. While some unwise individuals have been successful in representing themselves befor the Board on minor infractions, I have never heard of a PDL being recalled by an individual acting on his/her own. If any of you can correct me on this, I would welcome the input. I would also suggest looking at our YouTube videos about the Board of Law Examiners, and talking to more than one attorney about your representation. Getting a recommendation from the BOLE or even the dean of your law school for an attorney, may be helpful but call more than one attorney and compare price, knowledge, and results. After four years of undergraduate education, three years of law school , and an average debt of $80,000.00, this last hurdle needs to be addressed in the most professional way possible. Our Firm does not charge for the initial phone call and will work with the applicant to set a budget that is fair for all concerned. Bob Bennett

BOLE CLIENT

Mr. Bennett represented me during a BOLE character and fitness licensure hearing in May 2013. I failed to disclose criminal history matters on my law school application. I was granted an unrestricted license to practice law. I am not writing this review because of the successful hearing result. I a...m writing this review because I believe that such success would not have been achieved without the knowledge and experience of Mr. Bennett. Aside from the fact that we were well prepared, the moment we walked into the hearing office I knew we were among friends. I strongly urge anyone facing a BOLE character and fitness hearing to hire Mr. Bennett. Considering the stakes at hand, thousands of dollars, countless hours, blood, sweat and tears spent to bring a person to this point , Mr. Bennett's fees are more than reasonable. I also found Mr. Bennett to be kind, caring, considerate and always available. If you are going before the BOLE, you should give him a call.

Exceptional Representation

Bob and his Team did an exceptional job managing our criminal defense case and successfully negotiated a felony charge to a misdemeanor which was handled as a deferred adjudication. I highly recommend Bob and his firm especially if you appreciate transparency and honesty in your representation. Bob... was extremely forthcoming explaining our position, options, and possible outcomes.

Preserved our Status and Integrity

Mr. Bennett and his team did an exceptional job representing us and driving our case to prompt resolution in a manner that helped preserve our status and integrity. Our case had the potential to be a newsworthy event in our small rural town which would have significantly impacted our status and inte...grity as well as our employment status. Mr. Bennett was sensitive handling our case and negotiating with the local officials to reduce a felony charge to a misdemeanor charge that was closed out with a deferral. We appreciated the personal interactions and understanding of our situation as Bob helped us work through this very challenging legal and personal matter in our life. Do I recommend Bob and his Team - You Bet I do.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2017.

Partially Probated Suspension issued in TX, 2017

updated on 11/17/2021

Partially Probated Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. When the attorney returns to practice, he or she will be on probation, meaning the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Robert’s comment:

“The judge who imposed the sanction was removed from office. The SBOT Assistant Disciplinary Counsel who handled the case has left the OCDC in disgrace and the Chief Disciplinary Counsel was replaced. If you go to www.ocdc-revealed.com, you will see that I was prosecuted for political reasons and the case was reversed. If you fight with vigor and determination for your clients, you will upset the powers that be. We fought, we won, and are now fully reinstated. We can win for you!”
