great lawyer

The only reason i have an opportunity to be a father to my infant daughter is because of skillern firm. The skillern firm was my shining light thru a very dark time during my divorce. From the very moment i walked in for a consultation every person of the firm cared about my case. From the receptioni...st to para legals everyone knew all the details about my case. My now ex wife was attempting to permanently remove our new born from usa to a third world country. John Schmude, Matt Skillern, and Alexandia Gwyn assured me that they will do everything in their power to make sure that my daughter will remain in the united states. The skillern firm put in strong provisions in making sure my daughter will remain int the united states. They contacted all the proper authorities including the state department in preventing international child abduction. From mediation to trial they were there all along making sure my daughter has a bright future in United states. Skillern firm has very professional and experienced professionals working on all cases. I will always be grateful and in debt to the skillern firm. Skillern firm has saved my daughter’s life and above all has given me an opportunity to be a father to my daughter with sole custody. Oneday in the future i will tell my daughter all about how she was saved and the names of the people who made sure she stayed in the United States.

Excellent and Outstanding Attorney

I don't have words to thank Matt Skillern and his team for his brilliant and outstanding services in our child custody case. Matt is a very knowledgeable, passionate and straight forward attorney. He genuinely cares about his clients and takes times to understand the case and gives very strategic and... sound advise. He worked tirelessly and eagerly knowing each and every detail of the case and did an outstanding job at the trial outlining the truth and getting justice for his client. He is an intelligent and extraordinarily dedicated attorney who is well versed with Texas laws but at the same time very human and compassionate. I don't think I have words to appreciate him and his team for their outstanding performance during the most difficult time of our life. Thank you Matt for everything and may GOD bless you and your family!!

Simply the Best

Matt Skillern was not just my divorce lawyer. He was my corner coach championing, guiding, nudging, helping me stay strong, stay focused, stay all in. Matt and Melissa operated with a positive mindset, leading me through the labyrinth of forms, court proceedings, more forms, gathering massive amoun...ts of necessary information—always moving forward, always providing insights and understanding along the way. Matt is honest and straightforward. No hidden costs. No surprise turns. The process was laid out clearly. The challenges he foresaw, the behaviors we encountered, the end he anticipated were carefully and caringly explained and achieved. You need a lawyer if you’re getting a divorce. Brilliant attorney!

Matt is knowledgeable and honest, effective and efficient. He was always available and accessible. I also would like to express my appreciation to his professional team. My divorce was granted within three months. Matt understood my financial situation and even gave me a discount. Who does it these... days? He was there for me “holding my hand” though the roller-coaster-like process. He truly is perceptive, communicative, and rational attorney. I highly recommend Matt. You cannot go wrong with honesty and integrity.

Excellent Attorney!

Matt is a very professional, excellent attorney. I hired him for my divorce. He listened to what I wanted, and he advised me on the best way to go about things. I felt like he truly cared about my situation. When I called or emailed him, he always promptly returned my call/emails. I 100% trust Mat...t, and all of the advice that he gave me was excellent. He clearly explained to me the steps of the divorce process, and each step of the way he made sure I understood my options. My ex was threatening to take me to court to try to get 50/50 visitation with our kids. With Matt on my side, my ex ended up agreeing to standard visitation and did not pursue fighting me in court. Matt is the attorney I want to be on my side all the time! He knows the law, he is confident, and he listens to what his clients want, and then he gives them the best advice from a legal perspective and then acts on that. I am 100% satisfied with Matt representing me. I highly recommend him and always want him on my side!
