My experience with this lawyer was extremely disappointing and unprofessional from the very beginning. I chose him based on reviews that claimed he could handle difficult cases and genuinely cared about his clients, but that couldn’t have been further from what I experienced. After driving 4 hours... for the appointment, my sister, my 3-year-old son, and I waited about an hour before finally seeing him. The consultation itself lasted less than 20 minutes. He simply looked up my partner’s A-number and repeated information I had already given him over the phone. Before I made that long trip, he had assured me he could help with this complicated case. Instead, he looked at us and said we didn’t look wealthy enough and that I should save my money because we were going to need it. That moment was shocking and deeply hurtful. He never even asked what I did for a living or discussed a fee—he just judged us based on appearance. I own a successful commercial renovation business, but he never cared enough to ask. To make matters worse, he was eating crab rangoon during the meeting, getting crumbs on his shirt, answering phone calls, and sending emails while we were trying to talk about one of the hardest moments of our lives. It felt dismissive and disrespectful, as if our situation didn’t matter at all. I met with another attorney afterward. He made no false promises, but he treated us with respect and said he would do everything he could to help. The difference in how we were treated was undeniable. Please don’t respond by saying I never had an appointment. I have photos, call records, and proof of the appointment. I hope this review helps other families know what to expect.
