David is an excellent lawyer. He takes care of business in a professional manner. He is a real racehorse attorney! He kept me informed on everything that was going on with my case. He stayed in it till he got the results we wanted. I definitely recommend him for any criminal case. He's the best I've ...ever seen. I actually wanted to see him in trial , but my case never made it that far. I'm very thankful that he was in it for me. If you don't get him on your case you are making a serious mistake.

Well liked and respected amiable and comforting Honest Efficient Detailed Long Version: David was recommended to me by my best friend (who is a lawyer herself). She knew of him because he was (and I think still is) a distinguished profess...or at the University of Houston and highly respected by his peers. He is well like and trusted, which is a VERY important factor in the court room. My very first visit with David was quite long. He was very detailed and asked questions that I would't have even thought to be relevant. He was easy to talk to and nonjudgemental, which is also an important quality. I could, and probably would, have omitted details that would have resulted in perjury if it weren't for his amiable disposition. Having said that I would not confuse David for my father, holding my hand every single second of the day. He wouldn't have the experience and edge that he does if he wasted his time doing that. He is one of the most efficient people I have met. You will see lawyers that will sit in the courtroom with their clients for four hours fiddling their thumbs, but David will just walk in exactly when the time is right and you will still be the first person out of the courtroom! while the others are still sitting around with their lawyers. In conclusion I would not hesitate to use David again, although I certainly hope I don't have to! I highly recommend him and think he is the best 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th, or..) chance one could ask for.

I am a full time teacher in a charter school in Houston, Texas. I was falsely accused of “inappropriately touching” one of my students. This was one of the scariest moments of my life. I thought that I was going to lose my whole career and reputation. Despite the difficult situation, one good came ou...t of it: I got help from attorney David Cunningham. What follows is a detailed account of my case and how Mr. Cunningham helped me: The accusations were brought forward a Monday around noon. As a drove to meet with school administration about the accusations, I called my friends and family to find me a lawyer. Attorney David Cunningham was the most highly recommended. As I was driving to the meeting, I called David’s office. David returned my call so quickly that I had legal advice before going into the meeting, less than 1 hour after learning about the accusation. I cannot stress enough how Mr. Cunningham’s sense of urgency with my case helped me through that incredibly shocking and stressful situation. David advised me not to talk to police without his presence, to record the meeting, and to stay calm while cooperating with the school investigation. David explained the difference between a police and a school investigation. He made sure I knew that any form of non-compliance with school investigation could result in termination. David got me through that initial meeting. He made sure I knew how to protect myself legally while working with the school to keep my job. After the meeting with administration, I was on the phone making plans with David at 3 p.m., less than three hours from the accusation. We set up an appointment for the following day, Tuesday around 3:30pm. At the time of the appointment, the office staff was courteous and I was meeting with David promptly at 3:30pm. David welcomed me into his office to get the facts down about my background and the case. David was thorough in his enquiry into my background and into the case at hand. During our appointment David prepared me for a second meeting with school administration. We rehearsed making an opening statement and responding to certain questions. The next day (Wednesday), I had the second meeting with school administration which would determine the direction of the case and any legal action. During this time, David was on-call so to speak. He made sure that he could attend the meeting if needed. David also texted me and encouraged me all morning until I had my meeting. I never expected such personalized and caring treatment by my attorney, but I am glad I got it, because it made a world of difference. Luckily, during the meeting it was determined that the accusations were false. Thus they were dismissed and no legal action was needed. Immediately following the meeting, David called me and congratulated me personally.
