Jerome Neal Stein

Mr. Stein was paid $2500 in January of 2014 to sue my wife's ex-husband to terminate his parental rights and for the adoption of my step-son. After 3 months of no activity and no information, I requested movement in the case or my money back. Mr. Stein typed some names into a canned form (incorrect...ly) and claimed to have filed it with the court. However, we checked with the court, and the petition was never filed. I requested a refund of the balance of my retainer and a statement of account in April, and as of today, October 22, 2014, I have received neither. I have made several phone and email requests to no avail. Mr. Stein at first made excuses, but now he simply ignores us. I intend to sue him in small claims court to try to recoup my money. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody.

Jerome is a very caring attorney, he treats you like family, and he is always willing to listen. He has served as our attorney for years and we are very happy with him. Jerome was a God send! We were at our wits end. We had talked to other lawyers that told us we didn't have a snowballs chance in you know where of winning custody of a biological child and one that wasn't biological. this man falls asleep when you are pleading for him to fight to get your kids back. He acts like he is on some serious drugs. He even fell asleep in court. there is a reason he is so calm, because he dont care!!! he makes you do all the thinking. you have to contact him over and over again to fill... him back in on your case because once he gets your money he thinks the job is over. then charges you when you he talks to you asking questions you have already told him. I have represented myself for 3 years and won every time yet with jerome I lost my kids to a felon child abuser.
