I can't recommend Carl and his team enough. Im confident I received the best outcome possible. The first time I was contacted by Carl he had me enter his cell number in my phone and use it anytime I needed him. Anytime I text Carl he either text back or called. That really made me feel like he was ge...nuinely doing the best for me. Sandy, who runs Carl's office was very very helpful. She went above and beyond her call of duty. Sandy had answers for every question I asked. Carl is fortunate to have her on his staff. Carl and Sandy both helped me with other issues I had even after my case was settled. This is a review for my lawyer Carl Cedar. I found Carl Cedars information and reviews on avvo.com. I then called Carl Cedar and spoke to Sandy my mother and I met with Sandy and began discussing my situation. Since I was able to work out a payment plan I then proceeded to move forward with Carl Ceda...r as my legal representation. I went to court a total of 6 times. The da wanted to convict me for a fictitious registration sticker that I was not aware of. Carl did not agree with that and became the defender. He went to battle for me and defended me. He could see how unjust the da was being. Carl Cedar is really the defender he will get your back and help you out 100% all he expects you to do is follow his instruction and guidance. If you follow his instruction and guidance it will benefit you and your case. This helps Carl to go in the courtroom to defend you. If you follow his instruction and guidance your case will be a success. All Carl Cedar wanted me to do was email him all of my accomplishments that I have completed such as certifications and degrees so he could present them to the DA and show them that I am goal oriented and have accomplished positive goals in my life. Carl had to work his magic he takes every case too heart and works diligently to earn the title of the defender. To Carl law is like a sport. He will not be satisfied until he gets his client Justice. He was able to finagle a sweet deal for me where I can get my record expunged. My charges went from a Class B misdemeanor for fictitious registration to a Class C misdemeanor for disorderly conduct which means I got deferred probation for three months with the only conditions consisting of not getting any tickets for 3 months and no check in unsupervised and no community service probation. And since the charges got dropped to a Class C misdemeanor I can now have the case expunged which means my record stays clean and clear. I can now move forward with my life to continue other goals that I will accomplish in the medical field. Thank God for Carl. This guy is the real deal if you have a situation similar to mine this is your guy he will help you. I will from here on out recommend my family and friends to carl Cedar in case they need him if they ever get into a bind. Five stars for Carl Cedar there is no need to look elsewhere this guy knows his law and they call him the defender for a reason. He seems to be known at the Collin County Courthouse every time I would go to check in with the bailiff for my court appearances the bailiff would even say are you Carl's client with excitement in his voice and I would hear a lot of other people in the courtroom saying that is Carl's client and pointing to me. When Carl would enter the courtroom All Eyes would go towards Carl and everyone would always greet him and seem to have respect for him. This guy is awesome very respectful and believes in being fair to people and fighting for what he believes is fair to his clients. I also have to say that Sandy has been wonderful she always gives my family and I good advice as well she makes sure that I and well-informed and advises me throughout the whole process they work hand-in-hand very well together. Sandy is strictly business which is what you want when you are in a bind. Sandy will shoot you straight and not sugarcoat anything. This is what you want when you are in a bind. Sandy is very nice and very honest and real. She seems to know a lot about law that she shares with my family and she knows a lot from experience and from her education. I definitely have to give kudos to Sandy. Thank you Carl and Sandy for not just seeing me as throw away. Thank you for defending me. I was an innmate in Collin County with no money, homeless, strung out on drugs, and just wanted to die. For whatever reason God or whatever or whoever decided to bless me by appointing him as my court appointed attorney. I say I was blessed because since the day this man has walked into my life miric...ales have happened and I have a life that I never even could have dreamed of all because Carl honestly cared about me and believed in me even when I couldn't believe in myself. He fought for my freedom as if I was a paying client and fought for my life as if he was fighting for his and I will be eternally grateful to him for that. Because Carl believed in me, didn't treat me like a second class citizen, never gave up on me, fought my case as hard if not harder as any lawyer I have ever paid thousands of dollars to, and continued to believe in me I was lucky enough to get a chance of a lifetime and was sentenced to a 30,000 drug rehab in Austin texas and was fully scholarshiped. I should have been sentenced to prison on the day of my trial but as I stated before because Carl believed in me so much and had so much conviction while talking to my judge I was blessed with this opportunity. I now am still living in Austin, have 90 days sober, and most of all have a reason to live today and I can promise u that wasn't the case when I met him. I now do believe in myself and love who I am becoming. I have options in my life today because I can do anything I want to because I'm sober! I'm no longer a slave to drugs and the lifestyle that comes along with that and that is all due to Carl believing in me. I am a lucky woman to have been able to work with him and he has forever changed my life and probably doesn't even know it. He is so humble, kind, caring, and not to mention the best attorney I have ever had and I've had some pretty big important attorneys before who got paid a lot of money. Carl did more for me for free then any of those high paid attornies did. I wish everyone that needed a lawyer got the chance to work with him because he is amazing and an amazing person but I know that's not possible. I think the most important thing I want people to get from this is that I am alive today, not on drugs, and have a beautiful life because one man believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself. He understands the importance of treatment over prison and treats all of his clients as equals with no judgment. Every attorney should take lessons from him because I promise he is one of a kind. I will never forget everything he did for me and he will never truly know how much he changed my life and how grateful I am for him. There are no words that I can say that would even come close to explaining how amazing he is. I would reccomend Carl to represent anyone I love or to anyone else because I know what good hands they would be in. He is fair, very smart, knows the law and our rights, and will fight til the end for those rights because he knows that's the right thing to do. I have been a client of Carl's for two different offenses. After further analysis and research of my January 2017 guilty verdict in one of 2 offenses (he received a "Not Guilty" on a DWI charge), Carl’s comprehensive knowledge of the legal process prompted recommendation for an appeal and his strateg...y for employing it was remarkable and worked to perfection. The appeal has led to dismissal on my guilty verdict and I now have favorable outcomes in BOTH of my proceedings (one "Not Guilty" - and the other is a "dismissal" after Carl got the verdict reversed and persuaded the DA to dismiss the charges. Carl’s deep passion for justice further astonished me, and merits my acknowledgement and sincere appreciation. I fully recommend Carl’s services for criminal court proceedings. His website lists him as "aggressive" - I told him when I last saw him I thought a more appropriate term would be "assertive," or something more akin to being a lawyer who is firmly committed to justice and the law. He is very passionate about the law and the justice system, and is unbending when he analyzes a case to try to do what is right and fair. In a way, he reminds me of Atticus Finch from the book. He tries to do what is right, he is a respectable gentleman (while noting he can be adversarial when needed), and he goes about his business in a professional way that I did not see from other attorneys at the courthouse.
