I found Julie from this site after reading reviews with information provided and I retained Julie for my divorce in March 2016. My spouse and I were separated for almost a year and all assets, accounts, and debts had been divided. The only part of the divorce not finalized was the retirement and how to get my spouse a specific monthly payment (contracted alimony) from now until I retire and have the retirement distribution be comparable in monthly amount. This was not the normal divorce retirement settlement but this is what my spouse and I agreed to. I looked to my attorney to assist me in determining how to get this done. I was told that my request was irregular and she would get it done. After office visits, phone calls, emails, I seemed to be explaining everything again and she consistently wanted me to do it the standard way. It seemed to get increasingly complicated and somehow we were not communicating the way we each needed to hear it. It was August 2016, 5 months and $3,000 later with a draft decree that did not meet the retirement solution, no QDRO and found out later that my spouses waiver of service was never received from my spouse so it never filed.
I contacted a another attorney referred by an attorney at work. I meet with that Attorney in late August 2016 provided the same information given to Julie and that attorney completely understood what we were trying to achieve with the retirement, gave me three possible solutions with the pros and cons and advised as to my request not the norm. The attorney said I was being very generous and knew my intent was to do the right thing. We only met the one time and as of 11-4-16 I am divorced and was the result we wanted from the beginning with decree, QDRO and waiver of service from my spouse filed with the court.
I basically paid double having to switch attorneys but it was worth it with piece of mind in dealing with an attorney that knew how to get what I wanted done.. In they end a personal referral was my best avenue.

Ms. Lucio has been amazing. She is handling our child custody case. She is a fighter and advocate for her clients. We had a problem getting anyone to even listen to us and understand exactly what we had been going through. Julie took us by the hand and has walked us through the entire process. She is not only thorough, her passion for what's right is undeniable. She looks at the facts and focuses on the best way to win! In such a stressful situation it is important to know that you have someone that is relentless, honest, and a hardworker. Julie has truly been a God send! We definitely recommend her to anyone we talk to, and appreciate her for saving our family.

Julie Lucio made my divorce go as smooth as possible considering how hard my now ex-wife tried to make it for me. She was able to get me to see my daughter when my ex-wife was doing everything in her power to keep my daughter from me. She is the perfect balance of passion and professionalism. If I every have a problem with my ex-wife or my ability to see my daughter she will be receiving more business from me. I highly recommend her services.

I could not possibly be more pleased with my experiences with the Lucio Law Firm. Julie is extremely intelligent, well versed in family law, and is great about listening to every detail of your specific situation. She got me everything I needed and more with her handling of my custody case. I knew I was in safe hands from my first conversation with her, and had a worry-free experience. I had zero doubts throughout the whole court process, and that really says something (as this is USUALLY going to be a stressful situation regardless). You can tell she has a great reputation with other attorneys and judges, and for great reason. She is also very reasonable and honest on fee's, which is typically hard to come by with attorneys. If I ever need an experienced attorney again for any custody/divorce related issues- I know who I will be calling.

My ex-wife moved out of Dallas County to Anderson County But, our divorce decree stated that the two kids must reside in Dallas County. I searched through several family lawyers But, after visiting with Julie through a consultation, I decided that she was the best for what I needed to do. The case took almost a year due to ex-wife trying to fight the case. She even tried to use her sibling who is a criminal lawyer in Anderson County. Julie got the case moved to Dallas county due to residence and they settle two times But, did not sign the Rule 11 to finalize due to Child Support that we offered they felt they could get more from a judge. When we finally had to have the case heard before a judge just for the Child Support amount the ruling was great and my support was reduced by almost 95%. Through the whole time that I used Julie she answered any questions that I had and if she wasn't available her Para-Legal Carole Patterson was very helpful at all times. If I had any more family problems I would use her again. I would recommend her help to anyone.

Julie is the best thing that ever happened to us! She made it possible for my family to get custody of my nephew, when our previous lawyer told us there was no way we would ever get him. She restored our hope in a very bad situation that looked like it only had one possible outcome. Julie knows her business and is very professional. She's a true fighter. Aggressive but classy at the same time. Julie is a wonderful, caring, and kind person. She really cares about her clients. I'm so grateful I had the pleasure of meeting Julie and I will forever recommend her!

I am so pleased to be able to write this review for Julie. She fought for us when we didn't think that we would win. She made it possible for me to get custody of my grandson, which another attorney said we couldn't get. We were lucky to find her through another person at the last minute. She puts her heart and soul into her cases which you can tell by how hard she fights for you. I would never look for another attorney, she is the absolute best. She was excellent in the court room and she gave me a lot of support when I was grilled on the stand for over 3 hours. All I can say is the she is an excellent attorney and really knows the laws. She is definitely worth every single penny and more.

Julie is a very knowledgeable, experienced and straightforward attorney. She is compassionate and puts children first. I am very pleased with the outcome of my divorce/child custody case. As fathers, we often feel that the cards are stacked against us when it comes to child custody. Julie fought for my rights as a father, and navigated through the legal system with ease, despite my ex’s lies and entitlement complex. She was very supportive throughout the long drawn-out process. Along with her assistant Carole, Julie kept me updated and worked strategically to ensure that my relationship with my daughter would not be compromised. In the end, my ex realized that the cards were stacked against her and we settled for joint custody, with me having the majority of time with my daughter. I feel that this outcome was fair and in the best interest of my daughter. I highly recommend Julie Lucio!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
My name is Godwin, a client to Julie Ann Lucio law firm. I write to state my deep satisfaction of the competence of this law firm. The Lucio Law Firm is the best option for anyone who wants an aggressive and hard working attorney. Julie Ann Lucio will treat your case like a personal matter.
Before I met Julie, my case was hopeless and as soon as I hired her, it turned around for my good. I am a father of four lovely girls. I was denied access to my kids by my ex-wife, who used horrible false allegations against me to keep me from seeing my kids for three years. She lied under oath against me and had no proof of these allegations. I’m disabled from a horrible beating that the Dallas Police gave me in 1996. She tried to use this as an excuse to keep me out of my children's lives. She told the Judge that I was mentally retarded, that I was on drugs, and that I couldn’t talk. After the beating I was left with speech, balance, and coordination problems. You can read my story if you just Google my name, Godwin Omokaro. Because of this past incident other lawyers told me my case was hopeless and had no chance of winning but accepted my money. One of the lawyers I hired in the early stage of my predicament, took my money which was paid in full. He was late to court several times, and dropped my case as soon as I couldn’t pay him more money he demanded. He made my situation worse than when he took up the case. Thank God, not long, I met Julie Lucio. She shed light on my case. It was a long hard battle and being a diligent, hardworking and aggressive attorney, the case was decided in my favor. All the reliefs I sought for were granted by the court. She took the impossible and made what the other lawyers said could never happen possible. Lucio is an excellent lawyer. She keeps her client updated all the time.
Lucio is kind-hearted. She would even give me money to take my kids to Chucky Cheese when I had none. Her parents even bought my daughters necklaces and invited me to visit their ranch. This is the kind of lawyer that every mother/father should have working on their case. She turned my tears into joy. My faith in God was lifted because of her. Indeed Lucio is a good lawyer and I strongly recommend her to any client.
