Biography
Former prosecuting attorney Doug Norwood has devoted his legal career to defending people of Northwest Arkansas against felonies, DWI's, drug charges, violent charges and all other criminal or traffic charges. He chose not to do bankruptcies, divorces, personal injury cases, etc. Over the last quarter of a century, he has hand-picked a team of top litigation attorneys who he leads. Mr. Norwood and his team have defended more than 30,000 criminal cases, including more than 9,000 DWI cases.
For over 5 years, Mr. Norwood has been nominated and voted by his peers as a "Superlawyer" for the Mid-South Region. In addition, on two occasions, he has been named by the Arkansas Times, as one of the "Best Criminal Law/DWI Lawyers in Arkansas." Mr. Norwood has also received the coveted Martindale-Hubbell AV-Rating, which sets him apart as one of the Preeminent Lawyers in his field of criminal defense and DWI law. He also was one of the founding members in establishing the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has served as the President of that association.

Battery Case Dismissed
After receiving a Domestic Battery in the 3rd degree Charge, Norwood & Norwood got a diversion of charges for one year, after which got the charge dismissed and expunged. So now my criminal record is back clear. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Norwood & Norwood!!!!

The penalties are up to a year in jail, up to $2500 fine plus court costs and you lose your gun rights. We work very hard to make sure our clients don't end up with a conviction for a Domestic Battery and I am glad our hard work paid off for you. Great result
Was charged with criminal mischief, trespassing, and obstruction with failure to pay fines. I was very pleased with the staff and the lead attorney stopped at nothing to clear my name, of fake charges and I walked out without a criminal record or fines. No one except Norwood does that. Thank you.

The Wonder Norwood & Norwood
Norwood and Norwood was awesome, they helped me with all my needs. I told my lawyer I needed to get my job was all and she made that happen. I had driving left of center and impeding traffic, DUI and no proof of insurance. Everything is off of my record expect for the DUI it will be on there for 6 mo...

I was facing....
Jail time, but due to Norwoods hard work and knowledge a couple of charges were dropped and I completely avoided jail time. I'm so very happy and thankful. Would definitely hire again, but hopefully won't have too. He's the best around.
