Ms. Angela Hyde beat the Arkansas State Police on my gun charge arrest!!! One Friday night I was driving down Weddington returning to my home when in my rearview mirror I saw blue lights so I pulled over on Boyles going into Farmington Two Arkansas State troopers approached my car the first one c...ame to the passenger window and said I was speeding (I was not!!). he proceeded to say my car smelled like marijuana and told me to get out of the vehicle. I have my medical marijuana card in two states one of them being Arkansas. The state trooper then proceeds to try to hassle me about why I smell like marijuana. I told him I have a marijuana card and I smoke it. That’s not illegal to smell like marijuana smoke is what I told him. I received no test to try to determine if I was too impaired to drive. He proceeded to tell me that he was going to search my car because I smelled like marijuana the state troopers searched my car and found a firearm in the back of the seat pocket. I was prescribed Xanax, which I had in the vehicle also which he proceeded to try and act like it was an illegal substance, which they tried to charge me with, but also later dropped that charge. My car was towed, and I went to jail for three days while in jail, the state trooper neglected to leave my probable cause paperwork for the jailers or the judge. The trooper finally did the probable cause paperwork and returned it to the jail his story on the paperwork was a complete lie about how this stop went. I hired Angela after I was facing a pretty serious felony charge filed by the state.
