Whitney Marie Matney

I hired Whitney as lawyer/counsel. I don't feel like I was given any type of information that assisted in making the important decisions that need to be made during the divorce process. There were NO "what to look for" or "how to prepare for" pointers and I feel like Whitney was more worried about im...pressing my ex's lawyer (because she gets work from him) than doing anything to benefit me. I learned more about divorce in the prologue of a "how to" book after spending more than a few thousand dollars with Whitney. Waste of my time and money and I'll be paying for years now. I DO NOT RECOMMNEND.

Whitney helped us with custody issues for my son. She was honest and compassionate. She listened to my concerns and kept in touch with me every step of the way. Before Whitney I had gone through two other attorneys and they all disappointed in some way and didn't seem to care. Whitney made me feel li...ke I was her only client and let me vent to her on more than one occasion! She also recommended a great counselor for my son to see as well. She knows what she is doing and will take care of you.

Whitney was wonderful to step into my case after I had hired another lawyer that I started to feel wasn't working for me. My case was a very difficult case and the attorney that was representing the person against me was very tricky . Whitney stood her ground and wasn't swayed or tricked into settlin...g for less . She is always quick to respond to my messages and keeps me informed on what is going on and what to expect and what my options are . She does her research and knows her stuff going into court .. After my case was over I was able to rely on her to do any follow ups needed and make sure i received the items I was suppose to receive in a timely manner .. I always feel that she is on my side and is working hard for me . I really needed that and appreciated all of her hard work in my case

I was fighting my ex for custody of our 2 kids. Everyone told me there was no way in Arkansas that I would win. I was constantly told that majority of the time, the judge always gives the mother custody of the children. I almost gave up on fighting, until I met Whitney.
