I recently contacted the firm about a custody modification and was pleasantly surprised by Erika's personality. She was knowledgeable about legal matters, but she didn't talk to me like I was an idiot when I asked questions (and I had plenty of them lol).
I met with a different lawyer (not at this firm) prior to speaking with Erika, and I originally planned to work with him. A friend convinced me to call Flesner Wentzel instead because she felt like the first lawyer would not truly fight for my kids in the courtroom. I'm glad I listened to her.
The prices for custody matters are very reasonable, and you can do a monthly payment plan. I'm a single parent, so knowing I can afford court without falling behind on other bills gives me peace of mind. I plan to hire this firm to represent me in the near future.
I had the extreme good fortune to have Erika Wentzel as my lawyer. I was going up against a New York stock exchange company that owns Plaza Mercedes West and knew it would be a tough fight against the big dog. Erika is very knowledgeable, prepared, and just overall excellent that I knew (and told her often) that no matter how it turned out she did the best job she could for me. I can not say enough great things about Erika. You are in great hands with Erika and her law firm. I strongly recommend Erika Wentzel and the Flesner Wentzel law firm of St. Charles, MO!!!!
Decedent's Estates, Guardianships of Minors and Disabled Adults
I began my career focused on consumer protection legal work when a mover destroyed all of my furniture and gave me fake insurance information shortly after I passed the bar.  Trying to turn a negative experience into a positive one, I began volunteering as a consumer protection attorney for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.  I volunteered there full time for several months prior to starting a law practice with a classmate in St. Louis County.  In that firm, my focus was on civil litigation matters and estate planning. I handled primarily consumer protection cases, including auto dealer fraud, home contractor disputes, debt collection defense, and representing tenants against landlords. Â
I went on to found Flesner Wentzel, a general practice firm in St. Charles, Missouri in 2013. Â I continue to selectively handle consumer protection, estate planning, and probate matters, however my primary focus at Flesner Wentzel is family law cases. Â For more than five years, I have been helping clients with dissolutions, paternity cases, child custody, and child support matters. Our firm is not afraid to handle complex cases. Â We work hard and ask for extraordinary relief when it is necessary. Â Our willingness to handle cases that are outside the typical case have lead us to do complicated adoption work, work to get a child back after being kidnapped by family members, grand parents rights and third party custody cases, and LGBT dissolutions of civil unions/divorces. Â While no one "wins" in family law cases, my firm and I give clients reasonable expectations and work hard to achieve our clients' goals.Â
When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and ecape rooms!

Attentive Attorney
My ex and I worked out an agreement for an uncontested divorce and we both wanted to make sure our divorce was finalized as soon as possible. Erika was able to get our divorce filed quickly and had the judgment signed on the 31st day after filing (the soonest it could legally be finalized).
She has also drafted and reviewed several business contracts for me. She always makes helpful suggestions for amendments or additions.
I am very happy with the services I have received.

Employment and labor Attorney | Aug 06
Relationship: Co-worker
"Erika knows everything there is to know about protecting consumer and employee rights and effectively and tirelessly advocates on behalf of her clients."
"I met Erika at a conference and we quickly determined that we have similar styles of practice and started to practice together.
Erika does what her clients need and is not afraid to go up against large corporations with large, experienced legal teams and budgets that far surpass those of her clients. She helps every day people with every day problems that some lawyers might consider small, for example trouble with a used car purchase. Erika realizes that to some families, if a problem with a used car purchase is not fixed, a family member may be unable to get to work and lose their job or they may be forced into filing bankruptcy. She stops those things from happening."
"If you have a question about consumer protection, debt collection, fraud, or any unconscionable practices, Erika is the first person I go to. She knows the intricacies of Missouri consumer protection law better than anybody I know, and she gets results."
