I’ll admit, Cynthia and I had a rough start and I was feeling unheard in my case and as such deeply concerned for my child. I will say that requesting time with her if you don’t feel ‘heard’ is honored and listened to. I think many of us get so feeling bamboozled with stress in child custody ca...ses that we don’t do these things as much as we should. After a follow up meeting request which Cynthia honored, she explained to me her passion for her role, and I could tell that it came from her heart. She meant it. She is approachable but just keep in mind your case isn’t her only case. After having doubts and circling back again after I wasn’t comfortable with the way things were going, I came to really appreciate her and feel grateful for her as a GAL. My case is still pending, but I did feel very ‘heard’ and felt that her heart was in the right place as a GAL.

I was not an easy client, pretty demanding actually and she handled it extremely well. I am so grateful for her hard work.

During any kind of family court situation, our families are facing new challenges and a lot of uncertainty. Cynthia treated me with complete respect during the entire process.
