I had Benicia do my divorce and my first motion to modify. Each time I got more than I expected and was very pleased. My ex filed another motion to modify last year. I waited too long to call her and she wasn't available at the last minute. So I went with another, larger firm. At that firm I onl...y spoke with my "lawyer" when money was due or at the courthouse. I felt like that lawyer's secretary was my lawyer. Two months ago I returned to Benicia. At the rate my ex is proceeding I probably have another 3 rounds of modifications before my youngest is done with custody and support. Since I returned to her, she has helped me diffuse minor fights shich were growing into more trouble. My last firm asked me to write a review on here about them, after I terminated them. Benecia has never asked me to do that. I asked her about these sites and she said some lawyers credit a client's bill in exchange for a great review. If opinions can be bought, then sites like these won't be of any value. Be careful with firms with way too many 5 star reviews. ... especially all at once.

Because of Benecia we won an unprecedented case in the state of new york....after winning our argument with missouri cse, she encouraged us to continue in new york, which we did and won. Apparently the modified order was not registered with the state (auclair v bolderson). Benecia was smart enough ...to see this from the beginning. Thanks!

Every lawyer I called said I didn't have a chanve. From my first meeting with her, I knew she was different. The one hour consult turned into 3 hours. She agreed with the other lawyers up front but then she said "I wan't to research this while you are here with me to see if I can look at this diffe...rently." She grabbed her Ipad and tried to explain the child support issue. I wish I could say it made complete sense but I learned more about my case from her during that first "hour" than the years I had a Clayton firm. At the end of the first meeting I knew I had a longshot. I also knew I had everything to lose financially if I didn't have a lawyer. Benisha guessed I had about 20% chance. .I hired her and I am so glad I did. Her longshot that no other attorney thought of resulted in a win in my column. This was a few years ago and now a family member is using her and I found this site and wanted others to know that there are real lawyers who come up with game changers.
