About me

I have been an immigration attorney since 2006. My focus on immigration law has included family and employment cases, as well as removal defense, through which I have earned approvals for asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status. My work on I-601 waiver of inadmissibility applications has earned approvals for clients worldwide, including for countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. I have developed a federal litigation practice and have successfully represented clients in federal court actions, including mandamus delay cases and challenges to improperly denied immigration applications.

In addition to representing individuals and businesses in immigration, I represent clients in civil litigation matters, including contract disputes and personal injury claims. Through such cases, I have successfully defended companies against commercial claims, served as counsel to small and medium-sized businesses, and litigated cases for individuals injured in accidents.

As an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology-Chicago Kent College of Law, I teach a legal writing course that I designed to focus on unique issues of immigration law. I am an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Chicago Chapter Litigation Committee. I am fortunate enough to have spent extensive time abroad, including studying in New Zealand and working in Japan and China.
