Best immigration lawyer in Chicago

The best immigration lawyer in Chicago! Robert is very smart, trustworthy, accommodating and explains the process clearly. You can easily approach him if you have questions and will give personal utmost attention to your case. Robert helped my husband and I with marriage-based green card applicatio...n. He is extremely professional and responsive. No matter what we asked or when, we had an answer promptly. We are very happy and fortunate to have found Robert, and would like to give a big shout out to him and his team for helping us in every and each step of our way. We were informed all the time, and we could count on you in every minute. Will keep in contact, we would love to count on you in the future to continue with our case until the last step!! If you are looking for a professional and down to earth legal counsel who doesn’t charge exuberant fees, we highly recommend that you get in touch with Milla & Associates, Iulia & Nick

Knowledgeable Attorney and Great Team!

If you are looking for an experienced, honest, knowledgeable attorney, contact Milla and Associates! Last year my wife and I were looking to adjust our status through a family member. After hours of research and two failed consultations, it seemed like adjusting our status would not be possible at... the moment. Then we met Robert. During the initial consultation, Robert looked at the large amount of documents we took with us that pertained to our case and asked us questions. He was able to quickly tell us what could be done with our cases. After questioning him for a while, it was clear that Robert is a honest, knowledgable, professional attorney. He gave us a price for his services which was very reasonable considering the amount of time and work that goes into these cases. The whole green card process was long and there were many documents that had to be gathered and deadlines that had to be met. Thankfully we had the help of Robert and Eyzuri (paralegal). Whenever we had a question, we would contact Eyzuri and she would promptly respond with a thorough answer. If the answer was complex, Robert would contact us and explain the answer to us and clear up any follow up questions. When the time for an interview came, Robert made sure that we were thoroughly prepared. He told us what the procedure would be and answered all of our questions so we wouldn't be nervous. On the day of, Robert came prepared and the interview went smoothly. Two weeks later we received our green card. Last week, my wife and I returned from traveling to our home country of Mexico - something we hadn't done for more than twenty years. We are forever grateful for how easy Robert and his team made this process for our family. The process was long and stressful, but we had their full support the whole time. If you are looking for an immigration attorney, we strongly recommend Robert and his team. Thank you Robert and Eyzuri!!

Simply the best

I've never written a review regarding anything or anyone in my life and i am in my 40s, but this time i have no choice. He was referred to us by a family member who used his services as simply ( the best immigration attorney in chicago ). Who's got the awards to prove it even at the start of his car...eer, and that he was well liked by everybody who meets him at uscis, including immigration officers. That's what i was told by my family member and believe me i witnessed all that in reality and even during our interview. After reading his reviews, after what my family member told me about Robert, and after dealing with him during almost 4 years of immigration journey and 2 cases that he filed for us. Now i believe that if you are filing any type of immigration case in chicago area and even out of state as well, that you can't find a better choice. Experience, knowledge, respectful to his clients, always keeps you informed and reply to your questions and concerns. But what's most important and special about Robert as a fantastic immigration attorney is that he seems to know and do his job so well, he will never send your file unless it's 100% complete and ready to be approved, reducing or eliminating the possibility of having a request for evidence issued for your case and having to wait endlessly or having your file be left on a dusty shelf for years, but don't think that it takes him long time to file your case, to the contrary he normally will file it on the first possible date as soon as allowed. The other thing that separates him is his presence at the interview, he is likable by the adjudicators and talks to them to your benefit and to make you calm. The truth in my case is that its true maybe i would have gone through my immigration journey on my own even without any attorneys help, or with the help of another attorney but i know for sure it would have been much longer journey, much more costly financially and to the point of maybe affecting my health. Robert filed my i 485 adjustment of status then 21 months after i got my conditional green card, (since the green card was marriage based and the marriage was less than 2 years at time of approval ) he filed i 751 petition to remove conditions on residency. The second case was approved within 6 months without any request for evidence being issued, at a time when its taking 18 to 22 months to get a decision now. We filed late november 2017 and approved 5th of june 2018. Almost impossible but am so happy that it worked out this way. The first case was the same, quick and easy, he was present at the interview which was quick and friendly and shortly after he even gave us the good approval news. Thank you Robert

Honest and knowledgeable

Prior to hiring Robert we went to about 10 other attorneys. All other Attorneys gave me the same answers as if reading from a script. Basically telling me I was a lost cause, and would not be able to receive permanent residency in the united states ever. Finally we met with Robert for a free consulta...tion, he not only gave us far more options than the other attorneys, but he was very thorough in explaining all our options. We moved forward and hired Robert to handle our case, We applied for permanent residency, despite prior attorneys telling me I had no chance, as we wanted a permanent solution. We submitted around mid October, the application process was simple and explained to us well by Robert. We also applied for an advanced parole/travel document and a work authorization card. Both got approved and mailed fairly quick. My wife and i traveled to Cancun, Mexico with my advanced parole/travel document. We had absolutely no issues leaving or entering the united states. It went as smooth as it could of possibly went. We got scheduled for an interview on August 17, 2017 since we were applying for permanent residency through marriage. The interview was probably about 20 min at most, Robert was there to answer any questions I couldn't answer. He was there with any missing paperwork that we forgot to take. After about 20 min or so, the immigration official says "Im going to go ahead and approve your case, you should be receiving your green card in 30-45 days". The interview went so smooth, we had no issues what so ever. We are now waiting for the green card to be mailed. Robert did his job and did it well. He submitted and filed the applications correctly the first time and never missed anything. He's an honest attorney, doing what he can to help families. His rates are cheaper than most of the other attorneys we met for a consultation. Don't know what else to say, but he's a great guy. If you're looking for a great immigration attorney, hire Robert.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
