Herschel Joseph Rush

In the summer of 2017, my 19 year old son was arrested for possessing a loaded firearm. I was inconsolable. Rush showed empathy but was straightforward with possible outcomes. With Chicago tightening up on gun laws, my son was facing a minimum of 1 year behind bars. Rush provided us with next steps: ...obtain character reference letters and grades from school. Prior to that, I had no knowledge on what to do. Rush was able to get my son's charge from a class 4 felony to a misdemeanor. I believe his experience, relationship with state's attorney's office, and those character reference letters/grades all played a part of the judge allowing the misdemeanor.
