Excellent and Personable Legal Representation in one package

I had a great experience with Ethan from beginning to end. His previous reviews almost seemed to good to be true; but I also found him to be keenly astute in employment law issues and also personable and responsive to me as a client. I worked with Ethan on a Discrimination claim with my employer. ... He answered my call even before I hired him, in an extremely timely fashion, and gave me some essential advice about an upcoming meeting I was headed to with my HR department. I was so impressed that he would take the time to advise me at such a critical moment, there was no question that I would hire him as my attorney. After I hired Ethan, his professionalism did not wane as one would expect. He continued to be very responsive and was candid about what I may or may not expect as a result of the process. He was extremely clear about the merits of my case and did not make unreasonable assurances. Please note, that although Ethan was very responsive, he is very conscious of his own Work/Home life balance which I found extremely admirable -- I don't think anyone should come away expecting that lawyers should answer your call in the middle of the night, etc. but rather, as Ethan does, responds in a timely fashion and is prepared when he does respond. My case was settled successfully and more than satisfactorily; I attribute it to the professionalism and methods that Ethan employed. I would recommend him to anyone who faces an Employment Law claim. I was very glad to have him represent me.

Incredible Person and an Even Better Lawyer

Having met Ethan has changed my opinion entirely on the profession of attorney at law. I met a gentle, caring, intelligent, and capable man in Ethan Zelizer. I so badly needed a viable and dedicated advocate to stand tall against a fortune 100 company. With their endless well of finances, they surely... sent their best to dismantle our efforts of proving that I was not only discriminated against under the guidelines and parameters of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Even greater and far more damaging was their constant retaliation for having complained of any such discriminatory actions against me. I was confused, lost, and very alone. When I found Ethan he swore to defend me to the end. A calm came over me as I immediately knew his honest heart would be noticed by the jury. He sought not to attack the defendants, but methodically delivered a clear and concise explanation to the letter of the law, unlike his adversaries who, while sinking deeper and deeper, resorted to disparaging and inflammatory remarks in an effort to cast the shadow of doubt upon our case. During discovery and depositions, Ethan fought against demeaning and irrelevant topics and caused my former employer to pay fees and fines due to what the court called "sanction-able discovery tactics." Unbelievably, despite the fact that all evidence pointed to their unethical, immoral, and illegal acts, the onus was on Ethan to prove that beyond a shadow of doubt, they had wronged a long term executive-level employee with a disability. Yet, Ethan was successful in fending off their motions for summary decision in my case. In the end, Ethan stood tall against Goliath and felled him with spectacular and professional demeanor and pinpoint accuracy. Ethan and his team had me poised for victory before my former employer finally settled for an amount they had sworn they'd never pay. My life was restored. Words can not explain my appreciation for his support, but also for revealing the heart of a lion. I owe this man my life.

severance package

Ethan did everything that I expected him to do. He responded to my questions promptly and has a very deep understanding of the law and the mediation and negotiation process. His superb knowledge and skills resulted in a much more favorable severance package for me. I highly recommend him for any emp...loyment or discrimination issues.

Top-Notch advocate

Ethan was a consummate professional who steered me through a difficult situation and allowed me to separate from my employer with dignity and grace. I am a senior executive female employee who is in her 50s. The Company decided to let me go in February and offered me a severance agreement. It was ...probably a good idea for us to part ways but the severance wasn't enough. I met with Ethan for a consultation at his office. We went much longer than an hour but he kept the fee the same. He then sent me a retainer agreement and although Ethan cost more than some other employment attorneys that I spoke with, he clearly was the best. I hired him immediately -- although he wanted me to take a day to think about it. We attempted to negotiate but the Company was not interested. We had a good case for age and gender discrimination because my boss would call me "old mother hen" and constantly asked what it felt like to be "over the hill." Worse still, he hired a a 30-something year old guy to train with me last year and now he is assuming my role. Ethan and I discussed what it meant to "turn down" the severance and press on with litigation. We discussed the risks and I decided that it was worth it. Ethan prepared an EEOC Charge and we immediately asked for a "Right to Sue Letter" to go to federal court. My employer requested that we try and mediate. We did and a successful resolution was reached within 6 weeks of hiring Ethan. Ethan learned my case but more importantly, really cared about what happened to me and what would happen in the future. After we concluded the mediation, the mediator, a retired federal judge, told me that Ethan was "the best of the best" and he was right. Thank you Ethan.

Nothing short of amazing; quick to act and resolve

I consulted with Ethan seeking advice to handle pregnancy discrimination in my place of work. I was feeling defeated and I wanted to make sure I was represented by someone that I trusted. I immediately felt comfortable with him. He's to the point. He gave me the time I needed to explain the entire s...ituation without feeling rushed. Action took place before I left our meeting; he took the legal steps to make sure I was protected. After a week of him working with their lawyer, we settled. It was more than I was asking for. I can't say enough about how attentive, professional and kind he has been throughout this entire settlement. I have had to reach out to him a few times to ask questions and resolve a few minor hiccups the came about (all because of the company I was employed at). Ethan was prompt and was able to get me what I needed. I would recommend him to friends and family. It's not everyday you come across an attorney where you fully believe in his ability to get the job done. He has exceeded my expectations. Thank you Ethan!
