My case started 3 years ago, I like so many others found myself in an unexpected position needing a Lawyer for a DUI Case. I contacted several attorneys and after speaking with Mr. Wise I felt he was my best option. He was understanding, clear, and did not make any promises however he was very knowle...dgeable and I felt that he would represent me and fight for me to the best of his ability. His costs were transparent and never changed throughout the time he saw my case through to the end and I WON! My case went on for an extended period and Mr. Wise was always available and reliable and always prepared in court. It's hard to trust someone you don't know but my advice to any who read this review and are seeking his counsel is to follow his instructions - he knows exactly what he's doing. When my case went to trial I saw first hand the level of expertise he brings to the courtroom which to me appeared unmatched. He was meant to do this and takes pride in his ability to fight for you! I highly recommend choosing Mr. Wise as your representation - from I have seen he is the best man for the task! I hopefully will not need his services again but I would think of no other attorney to recommend to anyone who does!!! He's the real deal and keeps it honest!!

I have received two theft violation, I got scared because it may come in my record and background check will hurt my carrier and immigration too. before hired Mr. Wise I contacted a few other lawyers but all of them are asking so many details, but Mr. Wise is so intelligent and knowledgeable by seein...g my violation ticket he simply said it's the normal ticket with two words like, don't worry you are in good hand, he is very clear about what to expect. On a hearing date, he came before time and almost resolved my case before the hearing starts. Once the judge called us, it took less than 2 minutes to have my case dismissed with no criminal record. This is the best lawyer, very hard-working, knowledgeable, experienced, never give up, and very professional. While I hope to never do the same or similar mistake again, I strongly recommend them to anyone that finds themselves in a difficult/hopeless situation like mine. I hired Mr. Wise on a friend’s advice/recommendation. Before calling, I considered entering a guilty plea on my own behalf to DUI after having blown above a .08%. Thank God I re-considered - Mr. Wise won the case. Mr. Wise’s knowledge of DUI law was obvious during our first consultation. He mad...e no artificial promises that he would win, but sincerely promised to give me the best defense possible. What more can you ask? I was admittedly not the easiest client to handle. He (very professionally) asked me to trust him and re-assured me of his expertise. As a black man in the City of Chicago you can get your life taken away at the drop of a hat in many ways. I was wrongfully charged with 2ND DEGREE FELONY BURGLARY (3/7 years in prison!!) I have no record!! I am a veteran!!! college!! engineer!! single father!!! The cops showed up at my house one day ...I was on the way to pick up my son from his gifted program in school in the suburbs, and they just snatched me out of my car and swept me off to the city with sirens on and threw me in a cell. No info, no one would talk to me, lucky i got to make one 5 min phone call, but they had my cell so i had no numbers. I sat in that cell from 3:30 until 1:00am when two detectives "wanted to interview me" they played the confession game with me, but i told them i had nothing to hide, that i was a tenant of the space! I HAD A LEASE ON THE SPACE!!! They acted like they didnt know what was going to happen, threw me back in the cell, and then at 5:50am a cook county corrections van showed up. I was taken from the cell and handcuffed to a herion addict who was putrid smelling at best. I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON!!! I was processed through the DOC Cook County at 26th and California!!! Terror, fear, anguish, disillusion, betrayal and hopelessness is what I felt!! The phone system does not work, and no one I knew was able to accept any of my calls!!! I sat in there for what seemed like an eternity. Frightened to the core, but at a mental state of survival at this point. My survival instincts and mind state was deteriorated to a place I had never been before. I was going insane!! Literally!! But then out of nowhere! HARRIS?!! MICHAEL HARRIS?!! One of the guards was looking for me, apparently I had made bond. Being in a field house full of criminals and felons is a life changing experience. Literally. Something inside me changed after what I saw and what I had been through and the sounds. The things you hear might be the worst part. The anxious anticipation of danger at every movement is traumatic. I had to schmooze my way to a couple free El train hops and a Metra to get back all the way to Elgin, but I made it. MIND YOU THE PAST THREE DAYS MY SON WAS WITH OUR NEIGHBORS!!!! WE DON'T EVEN KNOW THEM LIKE THAT!!!!! But I made it back! I immediately got online to find a good attorney. I interviewed five attorneys, three wanted too much $7500, one was incompetent and the other was HOWARD WISE!! Mr Wise as I like to call him called me back right away. As soon as you hear his voice you can tell he's a Chicago guy. He asked what courthouse, and he starts telling me about the judge the states attorney and he knows all these people. MY KINDA GUY! And his price was very doable. So I met with him, he's got a Chicago and a suburb office right by my house. Perfect. We meet up and he scowers the lease and my reciepts and all the info. BAM, calls me two days later. Hes got the plan all worked out, case law this and that. Im still scared being black and a man so Im calling him every time some paranoid thought comes in my head and people around me running their mouths, and he picks up every time I call. "Mike, relax! First of all, I don't make promises, but I can almost guarantee you're not doing another day in the cook county jail, second, we have a solid case here so I'm pretty sure I can get it thrown out, but you gotta just let me do my job Mike!" "I been doing this for a long time, Im gonna fight for ya!!" And just like a counselor he calmed me down every time. A bunch of other great stuff happened, there's not enough room to write, so I'll leave you with this. PRELIMINARY HEARING FIRST APPEARANCE CASE DISMISSED!!! I was crying parents kids my woman everybody. I provide a life for my family!! Everybody was crying!! If you are black, and in the city of Chicago, and need a great lawyer at a good price?, BUT!! BUT!! NO HE CANT DO THE IMPOSSIBLE, but if you have a chance, he can get the job done. I can say that! The man is the real deal. Thank you Mr Wise!!
