Diligent Attorney

Mrs McAdams and her team were understanding and compassionate. They are experienced in the rule of law which is calming at a time when emotions and uncertainty is so prevalent when going threw a divorce . I thank them all.

She gave me my life back!

In June of 2010, I was arrested for aggervated battery after an altercation with a group of people. By July, my charges were upgraded to felony murder for a man that had passed that I myself had never made eye contact with, let alone touched. After over 2 years in County Jail, a slew of other attorne...ys having no other solution but to wait for trial and hope for a good outcome and looking at over 25 years if convicted, Terri came in and took over my case. She was always very straight forward and honest with me from the beginning. Fully explained the complicated and tricky way the felony murder rule was written in Illinois and laid out my options. Why every other attorney was hung up on going to trial, I wasn't so sure I was willing to gamble with not only my life but the future of my wife and family. Terri absolutely agreed and although she also really wanted a shot at taking it to trial, she went to work wheeling and dealing with the prosecuter to iron out a plea that I could live with. I ended up having to serve 4 years and am lucky enough to say I am out now to be with my family and watch my kids grow. All due to the hard work, honesty, and dedication of Ms. Mcadams. She was always available to answer a question whether from me or my family. She went out of her way to make sure I understood everything that was going on every step of the process. I would highly recommend Ms. Mcadams to anyone in need of a fantastic attorney.

Thank you for trusting me with your case. Unfortuantely, this fact pattern was one in which the statute was applied in a way in which the legislature did not intend. Similar to the co-defendants, none of you intended this to result in the death of another person. Tragically, the co-defendants took the matter to trial, were convicted, and one will be released from prison in 2032 and the other will be released from prison in 2034. When you consider that result and compare it to the fact that you are free to live your life after a 4 year prison sentence, the review makes more sense. Thank you for your kind words and review.

Great Attorney--Very Knowledgeable

I have worked with Teresa ("Terry") and her firm on several occasions. While I would always prefer to settle disagreements without getting attorneys involved, some situations are unavoidable. It is at those times I always call Terry's office. Their staff is very responsive and knowledgeable. Terr...y is very honest, takes time to listen to my situation, and present a reasonable solution. She has been successful at every case I have brought to their office. I will continue to work with her and her firm as I have always gotten the desired outcome.

Teresa is a great lawyer...

Teresa did a great job with my case. I was wrongly accused of some pretty serious charges in Kane County. Teresa made time to meet with me shortly after my first phone call to her. She was very confident and comforting in explaining that I had a great chance to win this case. It's a pretty scary thin...g being accused of things you didn't do. I really didn't think I had a chance til I spoke with her. I wound up having a jury trial. Teresa's price was fair and she worked out a great payment plan with me. She easily accomplished everything she said she was going to do in the court room. Added bonus, she made the accusing party AND the state look like idiots. She clearly distinguished all their lies, inconsistencies in their stories and irrelevant points to help the jury easily see what was happening. She clearly took the time to look into all details and she pulled out things I never thought of to help prove my innocence. I believe the jury only took about 6 minutes to find me not guilty. She made the whole horrible experience tolerable and stayed on top of things for the whole 18 months this case took. I would highly recommend Teresa to anyone facing criminal charges. She's a smart and thorough defense lawyer.
