I have been a client of Teresa McAdams for a few years now, all pertaining to divorce, and post-divorce, related issues. I hired Teresa Mc Adams to help me with my divorce. I had been married for 17 years and have children that I wanted to make sure they were taken care of. Teresa Mc Adams was optimistic, compassionate and very efficient. I had a consultation with her and she didn't make any promises but was very clear... in writing up what my desires were and the plan we would execute. My now ex wife would not hire an Attorney and was dragging out the divorce. Teresa Mc Adams filed motion(s) that were pertinent to the success of the case. I have two children and she was able to obtain sole custody as my children are the most important part of my life. It was a stressful time in our lives but with Teresa's expertise and experience we were able to complete the divorce and move on with our lives. I recommend Teresa whole heartedly. I can't believe I am just now writing this review but in my opinion there is no other attorney to even consider retaining. I have a long history with Terri but will discuss when I initially retained her for my child custody case. My nightmare began in 2006 when my 6 yr old's biological father was rel...eased from prison & was allowed to go into court with his girlfriend in Kane Co while on parole, make up lies about me with no proof & was given "emergency" temporary custody of my son, who had never been away from me since birth & then he preceeded to go for sole custody. I was not allowed any contact with him for six weeks while I had no choice but to go through the motions in court. I retained an attorney initially who was worthless & I had about given up any hope until I was able to retain Terri, who not only exposed him & his girlfriend for their lies during trial, but thanks to her, I was awarded sole custody of my son. His life would have been ruined if he would have been raised by him & she knew it. She saved my son's life & gave me back mine. She has my complete confidence & is the most straight forward, fair, kind...but tough, confident & intelligent attorney & I can't believe anyone would say she is all about the money because even saying she is fair would be an understatement. She helped me in ways I could not even begin to explain. I have needed her since then to go back into court and she is always there for me with excellent results to say the least. She also helped my daughter tremendously with her criminal case and I also personally know several people that have used her over the years with nothing but positive results. I would & I do, highly recommend her for divorce/child custody and criminal needs. I have to add that my son is 13 now & is a straight A student who Is happy, healthy & thriving. His father hasn't even attempted to see him in two years & has only called him twice in that time. To this day we still give thanks to Terri for her hard work & dedication to make this all possible. I would trust her with mine & my kids' lives and I in fact did. I know if a situation arises in the future when I need her, she will be there.

I hired Terri McAdams to fight for custody of my two children. She is very aggressive, honest, and will fight for you. Not only did I win custody, my ex-wife only gets visitation if I agree to it. She did not overbill me for her time and she is always willing to answer any questions that I have. ...My children will have a much better life now thanks to her.
