Whitney supported my husband in a custody/child support battle with his ex-girlfriend regards to there daughter. At the beginning of the process. We were flabbergasted how Illinois law recognizes non-active parents who could be indolent and disinterested in their child’s safety and whereabouts to share custody with the active parent. But through it, Whitney was able to be a mentor she provided knowledge and hope and in the end, my husband was able to walk out of court feeling accomplished, and for that, we will always be appreciative and will further use her services and recommend others.
Whitney Cameron was the first of her family to go to college and she got her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics at Augustana College. She received her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in 2017, with honors. Whitney was an editor for The John Marshall Law Review and a member of the The John Marshall Moot Court Honors Program. While studying for her legal degree Whitney devoted over eight credit hours to pro bono and volunteer work. She spent an entire summer in 2016 at the Will County Court House in the Externship Program where she mentored under several judges and wrote memorandums of law to assist in the final adjudication. It was during this externship that she discovered her passion for Family Law.
At the end of 2016, Whitney joined Henderson & Mehta Law & Mediation Center. She started as a secretary and legal assistant and continued to work as such until she passed the bar and was sworn in as an attorney in November 2017.
At Henderson & Mehta Law & Mediation Center, Whitney concentrates her practice in the areas of Divorce, Separation, Parental Allocation (formerly known as Custody), and Child Support.
Whitney is currently a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association and the Will County Bar Association. Her free time is split between her nieces, adopted nephews, and her dogs.

Smooth Divorce within 3 months
This was a very smooth divorce. Whitney was really good at explaining the process to me at the initial consultation and during court it went really well. She knew exactly what the judge was going to ask of her and was able to get my divorce done and over with. I can’t thank her enough for making this divorce as easy as possible.

Overall a great experience
Even though it was a trying time in my life, I was happy I found Whitney as my attorney. She guided me through my agreement, giving me great advice. Anytime I had a question, she got back to me right away. On the day my divorce was final, there was an issue with one of the judges being out for the day. Whitney made sure she found a judge for us to appear in front of so we could finalize on the day we were supposed to. I'd recommend Whitney to anyone looking for an attorney.

Felt like family
I heard nothing but horror stories about divorce and dealing with lawyers. Whitney was exactly what I needed at that point in my life. Whitney made suggestions on how to go about things and we worked together to get through my divorce quickly and with the least amount of pain. I could get in touch with her same day if I needed, I never waited longer than that. I can go on forever, Whitney was great and I would consider her a friend.

Amazing Family Attorney
I initially met with Whitney on a consult. She was very knowledgeable and honest. We decided to hire her that day. She was very easy to get ahold of, communicated quickly, and went over and beyond what we expected. She was familiar with all the current laws and changes which made our process easy as well. She told us what to expect and when to expect it and the what if’s as well. Going to court is never an easy task and she definitely helped take a huge load off of my shoulders. She also definitely has children in the best interest and does what’s right for them. We are so thrilled to have had Whitney as our attorney and WILL be recommending her to everyone we know! Lastly, the billing out of that law office is phenomenal. It’s nice to see where and how your retainer/court costs are being used. Thanks to Whitney for helping our family and being someone we can trust!
