Not legal advice) If you are a litigant, please read th...e below review carefully and consider my recommendations in your decision making process TO CHOOSE and RETAIN AN ATTORNEY to represent you in YOUR DIVEROVCE AND CUSTODY CASE(S). This review is written by a client based on client's own long-term experiences in working with Joe in family law (divorce, custody and other related) cases. This review is also Follow Up and UPDATE on my previous review Titled "An Objective Attorney Review by Client: Joseph Pierce O'Brien (Joe). My goal here is to share my experience since July of 2015 while Joe has been helping me with litigation that involved child custody and an host of other related issues. To provide the reader of this review with a context: Joe started on my case (post judgment) after I had lost virtually everything in a divorce - displaced from home with an OP, lost in the custody battle, and virtually all of the community property was lost and left with a debt. Before engaging Joe in my case, I had used may expensive attorneys, also fought pro-se as well. Expensive attorneys are more often experts at separating you from your money. During the divorce and in trial my interests were not properly presented well and I lost. Of course, I love my children and I did not want to walk away from them - that is one thing I was clear about. After many years of litigation I lost terribly, my legal bills were atrocious however. I knew I was lacking something - A good attorney. After a lot of research, I found Joe ( a total stranger then) and trusted Joe with my case - post judgment. In my previous review, I rated Joe highly on three key areas that mattered to me: 1. Expert at Family Law 2. Hard working. 3. Cost conscious. Almost a year later since my previous review, I affirm that I hold the same high rating for Joe in the above three areas. Joe is an Expert at Family Law, Joe is hard working and cost conscious - does not mean CHEAP. All of the above are very important considerations in choosing an attorney to represent you. I would also like add to the following points. Expertise in Trial: Joe is a reasonable man and encourages reasonable solutions. When all else fails, Joe is prepared for the TRIAL, when it comes to that. Joe is unrelenting and your position will be accurately and vehemently argued and presented. Continuous Improvement : Joe is thorough, diligent and incorporate new information as the case evolves. The information you share with Joe does not go into a black hole, as it happens with many expensive attorneys. Reliable, available: Joe is available and reliable and schedules time with you when need. Organized: Joe is very organized and kept me informed in a timely manner . In summary: A. Joe turned my case around. I now have custody and able to move with the children and a parenting schedule that works - thanks to unrelenting efforts of Joe. All this in spite of numerous obstacles. I knew all along that my fight was "just" and morally and ethically correct ground. Joe made the difference. Thank you Joe! B.
