He was so kind and understanding of the difficulty of the situation and he got a better than expected outcome on the case. Kendall is an exceptional attorney in every respect. He is experienced, well known and respected by judges and prosecutors in the Chicago area court systems, and he gets results. What surprised me most about Kendall is his genuine compassion for his clients. We appeared before the judge 8-10 times ...and Kendall overcame the prosecutor's dogged position that my son was a threat to society and based on his record, unfit to be part of the drug program. The prosecutor saw my son as just another bad guy and wanted him locked up in the penitentiary. Kendall presented our case expertly before the judge and was able to move our case from criminal court into drug court. During the process, I was thinking how an attorney would eventually get fatigued by the ridiculous drug use and be happy to wrap up the case and move on to other clients. But Kendall is different. He stayed thoroughly engaged in getting the best outcome for my son. He would talk to him as an attorney but also talk in human terms. Kendall was able to connect with my son and help him think clear enough to make a good decision rather than take the easy path. The net result is Kendall created the time my son needed to make some good but difficult life decisions. It's been about a year since we worked with Kendall and during this time, my son has stopped using drugs and he has dived deep into certain mental health issues that were the root of the drug abuse. My son is working hard and committed to living a productive, meaningful and enjoyable life. He is doing a great job and I am so proud of him. But none of this would have been possible without Kendall. His combination of superior legal skills and genuine compassion for his clients convinced the judge to give my son one last chance to turn around his life and remove the charges from his record in the court-monitored drug program.
