I cannot adequately express my satisfaction and gratitude for Denise Erlich and the Erlich Law Office, LLC. I found myself in a situation where my entire world was imploding around me and I could not have gotten through it without the steady composure, focus and experience that Denise provided me. ...She is the most caring and understand attorney that I've ever had experience with. I found myself dealing with a very manipulative ex and her manipulative attorney, but she always kept me focused and did not let me or the case get distracted by all the “noise” that the other side was creating. If you are looking for not just "any" litigation lawyer but the BEST available in Chicagoland, here she is! Denise isn't just the best Litigation Lawyer either! she is an "angel on earth"... the best you could ever dream of having! She has always been very upfront, honest, knowledgeable, and v...ery in depth on legal documentation of case history to support my case. The judges so far we have had were extremely impressed by the depth of her arguments with supporting case history, which will prove invaluable in my case vs. former landlord lawsuit. Landlord didn't give me back my deposit for no other reason than she thought she could get away with it as she had before. Denise found the landlord had 100+ cases either by/ or against her. Denise is trying very hard to get rid of this lawsuit which from the onset seems laughable but as she says....anyone can file any lawsuit against anyone even if it should be tossed out of court. My 1st amendment rights of "freedom of speech" are being called into question as I left an angry voicemail to landlord after she refused to give back my deposit & even holding it hostage until I had removed a DISH satellite dish from a parapet wall on roof which she authorized & not a problem until 40 days after we moved out & her roofer wanted extra $$ for having removed all the satellites of past tenants. she claimed my language caused her "irreversable" harm...medical issues, & stress requiring medical attention to deal with. None of it true. per my wife, her own building managers said worse to her face than I had & she didn't flinch at their words. She brought this lawsuit onto me 1 year after I had moved out & after I put a lawsuit against her in Cook Co. for abuse she dealt us & not paying our deposit back in timely manner nor following Cook Co. standard tenant agreement form regulations regarding overcharging rent for faulty building with heat,water,structural problems. Denise pushed it successfully to a lower court, & now trying to get it dismissed completely. With success we hopefully will get it removed completely as a lawsuit. Denise has spent countless hours researching our case history, getting past court case history documents & statutes to be added to our case. She also has worked tirelessly on this for us. This landlord had pushed me over the edge after dealing with her non-sense & abuses while we lived there...including lack of heat that worked not consistently in all apartment rooms, bad water pressure/not hot water in kitchen, & being blamed for all of her bldg. maintenance issues...including water pipes in ceiling below our apartment bedroom bursting, causing huge water mess to bedroom below us. She accused us of having a waterbed, saying our leaking bed caused the problems to room below us. She insisted to come immediately into our apt. to see for herself as she didn't believe we had no waterbed or that no water was coming from our bedroom to below. She didn't give 24 hr notice...nor did she accept our response as fact that we had no waterbed /nor caused the water problem. In her head we always were the cause of her maintenance problems of her old faulty building.
