As long as you do your part - being disciplined, practical, attentive to detail and thoughtful - Erlich Law is more than capable of executing the rest. False order of protection filed? Didn't matter. Countless other lies in pre-trial memo's, day-to-day communications? Didn't matter. Attempting to create a false narrative for the GAL? Didn't matter. In addition to her courtroom acumen, Denise is extremely relatable, patient and above all, available! I've never been here before, so needless to say I had many questions. I was anxious over strategy, over not having seen my daughter, over how the x-factors of the case would play out. Denise was always responsive and attentive. I'd get emails as late as 10 & 11 pm, answering questions (in detail), spelling out game plans, etc. The Erlich Law office team - Tammy, Carleen, and others who I may not be able to name - are all likewise, available, relatable, patient and professional. Summarizing my experience with Denise into a single review is nearly an impossible task considering everything she helped me with throughout my divorce. I can say without a doubt in my mind that she is one of the best divorce lawyers in Will county and the most caring attorney you’ll likely ever come... across. Denise would respond to my messages at all hours of the day and always made herself available to talk whenever needed. From early morning messages to late night phone calls or emails, she was dedicated to helping no matter the time. Even when she was sick with Covid, she still managed to win a big hearing (via Zoom) and stayed in touch with me despite being under the weather. While there are no “winners” in divorce cases, Denise ran the table and “won” every single contested issue in our case, which is pretty incredible given the sheer number of matters. We walked away from every court hearing with everything we asked for in our petitions. You can find other attorneys who are louder and make more noise (inside and outside of the courtroom), but Denise is a purebred winner. What I appreciate most about Denise is she provided me with reasonable, honest and fair feedback. While the opposing counsel in my case did everything she could to stir the pot and create unnecessary drama, Denise did everything within her power to minimize the trivial distractions and regrettable behaviors by the opposing party and their extremely litigious lawyer. My case unfortunately involved a contentious custody battle that required a GAL (luckily we got the best one in Will county thanks to Denise’s recommendation). From being faced with false allegations, isolation/alienation from my kids and a laundry list of other issues, Denise gave me helpful guidance every step of the way. She provided the necessary legal advice while also being practical and realistic. Instead of trying to make empty promises or tell me what I wanted to hear, she was always completely upfront and honest. If she set an expectation with me or made a prediction on a likely outcome, she was usually spot on. In every case, she actually exceeded any expectations that she set with me and overdelivered. Denise not only understands the court system in Will county inside and out, but she is highly respected by the judges and GALs. Denise did a great job helping me through my very contentious divorce proceedings.
