Form 1-130 petition and Immigrant visa process

I am a U.S. citizen and needed help with migrating my husband to the United States. Immigration can be a confusing process when you do not know much about it. I was seeking online to find a Immigration attorney to help us. I came across Dyan and scheduled a consultation with her. Immediately, my husb...and and I found Dyan to be very informative and caring to our case. She had a lot of knowledge and explained the process in a way we could understand. We hired her. She helped me with my I-130/I-864 petitions, then guided my husband with his U.S. Embassy interview. My husband was granted an Immigrant Visa and lawfully relocated to the United States. Dyan's work ethic is professional. She guided me on each step and reviewed every document to prevent any mistakes or delays. Dyan made herself available for any questions I had throughout the process. Thank you Dyan, we are so thankful for your service. We highly recommend Dyan if you need any help with U.S. immigration!

Immigration relief

I found Dyan after doing a google search and watched some of her youtube video's. I clicked the link to her website and started email and phone contact and decided to go with the $250 skype call consultation and document review. My immigration issues have been going on for 21 years, which has be...en 21 years of anxiety and extreme stress. During the consultation with Dyan, it lifted such a very overwhelming burden off of my shoulders because I had been trying to do this myself over the years. I now feel with her expertise on my side, I stand the best chance of achieving reunification with my family by being able to visit them in the USA. I truly feel I can trust her completely through the process, as she explained the process to me and cost of her representation. No matter the outcome, I feel already that from the many frustrating hours spent researching and talking to immigration lawyers, she is by far the best choice. She expressed empathy, integrity, and great character. During the consultation I decided to hire her and I am ever so grateful that she has chose to take on my case. Thank you so much Dyan.

Green Card for Green Card holder's spouse

I am a permanent resident who petitioned for permanent resident status for my spouse. Dyan has deep knowledge of the law and of the practicalities of dealing with USCIS. She helped us come up with the right legal strategy so that my spouse could obtain status on the fastest possible timeline withou...t taking any legal risks. She was a thoughtful thought partner throughout the process. My spouse obtained status in record time.

Engineering

I had a 212a6c1 bar applied in error and had absolutely no idea how to tackle this problem. The consulate was not responding and my then immigration lawyer was not an expert in 212a6c1. I was connected with Dyan few months after the adjudication. Dyan first heard my situation and analyzed it thor...oughly. She then took very judicious calls and pieced the problem to me very well. She went ahead with documenting the situation and building a legal case around it that I could take back with me to the consulate. She gave absolutely precise and timely advice on the steps to follow. She always stayed on top of my case, gave me options without bias and explained to me all the possible scenarios and let me take an intelligent decision thereafter. Her immense trust in the process allowed me to believe back into a system that I had lost all hopes in. Due to her amazing documentation, outreach and consultation, I could finally have my 212a6c1 completely overturned in a span of 9 months after I was first given the adjudication in error

Application for INA 212(d)(3) Nonimmigrant Waiver of Inadmissibility - because of marijuana possession in Europe

I can strongly recommend Dyan as an immigration attorney!! She has gone above and beyond my expectations throughout the entire process I have been involved with her. My situation, briefly explained, is that I was convicted for marijuana possession about 12 years ago (in my late teenage years) in Scan...dinavia, Northern Europe. I was never in prison, but had to pay a small fine. Since then I have graduated medical school and changed my life around 180 degrees. During medical school in Europe I met an American woman and we started a very beautiful and loving relationship. We have been together for almost 8 years, and are currently married. We decided to settle in Europe after our studies, where we both currently work as medical doctors. My wife desperately wants to take me to the States on vacation, to show me where she was born and raised and for me to meet her entire American family (since we have been together for such a long time and are now also married). My country does not consider my old conviction a very serious offence and I am forgiven from their point of view (as I currently have no restrictions as a citizen). However, because of this I was not eligible for the regular ESTA waiver, and had to apply for a visa (DS-160 form). But the American Embassy in my country denied me a nonimmigrant B1/B2 visa first time I applied. Second time I applied (with the help of a Scandinavian lawyer) the American Embassy said yes, but the Department of Homeland Security in the US said no. The US Embassy/Department of Homeland Security denied me a visa/waiver because of crime involving possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana) + they claimed I had done crime involving moral turpitude and that I must be a drug trafficker because of the quantity of Marijuana was just above 1 ounce (although I was NEVER convicted for drug trafficking or moral turpitude, something that my court papers also confirm). Thankfully I came across Dyan on youtube while searching for information about INA 212(d)(3) Nonimmigrant Waiver. During our first Skype conversation Dyan made sure she understood the whole picture of my case, she took her time to communicate thoroughly, brainstormed in a way no other lawyer I previously have been involved with have ever done, her reasoning was excellent, she was motivational and sympathetic, and for the first time ever I felt I had real support to fight my case! I felt she gave me honest expectations, as she discussed the possible outcomes prior to our cooperation. I have previously been involved with a big well known law-firm in NYC, but they seemed to be too busy to even speak to me thoroughly and I got the sense they were not really interested in helping me, but rather being paid. Meeting Dyan on the other hand, has been the complete opposite experience, with her I felt she really wanted to help me! She has always been replying to my emails swiftly and in a thorough manner. Her charge is very reasonable for the service and help she provides. After I met Dyan I never felt alone in my struggle, because she has been so attentive and guided me through this long and emotionally-exhausting journey. After applying for the 3rd time, now with Dyan’s help and support throughout my whole application process, my B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa/waiver was finally granted. Finally, after an 8 year relationship with my now American wife, will she be able to show me where she was born and raised. We can't wait to go to the States this fall on vacation and celebrate Thanksgiving with her American family! Although I got the nonimmigrant visa/waiver, Dyan´s sincere attempt to rescind the American moral turpitude and drug trafficking charges (since I was NEVER convicted for this in my home country) unfortunately did not go through, but we have agreed to try again next year. Look forward to work with you again. My American wife and I are forever grateful I can finally come to the States as a tourist, thank you so much Dyan! - Europe

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
