Words cannot describe how much Ben helped me!

I cannot overstate, and I struggle even to articulate, how much Ben and his partner, Ted, helped me. From the moment I reached out to him, Ben treated me with respect and dignity, taking my case seriously and providing valuable advice long before we even signed any documents. Once the legal proce...ss for my case began to unfold -- what we could do, how they would likely respond to each of those actions, what our next steps would be, etc. -- Ben predicted each and every progression with stunning accuracy. At each crossroad, he provided honest, unfiltered counsel that allowed me to make the decisions that served me best. At no point did I ever feel pressured to go one way or another, e.g. to do what might have been easiest or most beneficial for him as an attorney. Instead, Ben laid out my options for me as a client and I knew, without any doubt, that I would have his full support no matter which path I chose. In the end, we avoided filing suit and reached a sizable settlement. The fact of the matter is this: regardless of the amount of money I received from my former employer, it is infinitely more than what I would have received otherwise. Had I not contracted Haller Kwan LLP, I would have received absolutely nothing, and been left with an interminable feeling of emptiness. Thanks to Ben, not only did I receive what I believe to be fair compensation for my wrongful termination but also a renewed sense of dignity and self-worth. I knew I had been wronged by my former employer. Ben believed in me and my case. He took a chance on me by working on a contingency basis. He fought for me and worked his tail off to ensure I got what I deserved. Hire this man. You will not regret it.

Outstanding Advice!

I was referred to Ben Kwan by another top-rate attorney, who said Ben was "one of the top two employment attorneys in the Twin Cities". After my initial consultation with Ben, I am convinced he knows employment law inside and out! He asked all the right questions. I work in Human Resources, and am... very familiar with employment law. Ben was spot-on. I suggest anyone with an employment issue contact him, he's sharp, he's courteous AND helpful!

Professional, honest and encouraging

I hired Benjamin Kwan to help me with my former employer. I worked for a non-profit for over 21 years and they fired me for the lamest reason and then did not want to pay me my back vacation time or my comp time. They turned my worled upside down. I didn’t know what or where to turn. Then someone se...nt me Mr Kwan’s name. So I filled out their questionnaire online and made an appointment to meet with Mr Kwan. I was very nervous going to our first meeting but Mr Kwan made me feel comfortable and he was very organized. He listened to me and gave me his thoughts on which way to go on my case. He always let me make the last decision after letting me know how he would like to proceed. I always felt confident in his choices, he really would think things over before proceeding. I would highly recommend Benjamin Kwan as an employment attorney! I was very impressed with every step of the way. Very Professional, Honest, and organized.

Knowledgeable and Effective

I was a client with Haller Kwan in a wrongful termination suit against a former employer. I brought my situation to 7 firms in Minneapolis, and 1 in Chicago, seeking counsel and information. All 8 of them offered to take my case- but I am VERY GLAD that I chose Haller Kwan. My situation was compl...icated, and along the way Ben and Ted were always able to explain the relevant circumstances of the law and educate me on the possibilities of how things would play out. These guys taught me a lot about the law and how it affects me. Most importantly, they were very conscious of my best interests given the many years in my career that I have left. We ended up targeting and attaining a favorable settlement outcome that has allowed me to rid myself of a negative situation, recover from the financial damages caused by my employer's unethical behavior, and point blank put the entire dilemma in the past. There were many moments this could have turned into a 'headline case' with big-time exposure, and other litigators would have pushed me deeper into legal battles for the sake of their own PR. Haller Kwan respected that was not my wish- and yet were still skilled enough to stand for my rights and get a great outcome. I would confidently say that anybody considering their services can depend on a team that will be dedicated to your needs, your feedback, and will pursue a goal that is truly aligned with your life. That doesn't mean they will sugar-coat what may not be great news... but they will certainly be able to explain the facts in a way that is easy for you to understand and make a decision from.

Wrongful termination

Hello, I’m writing this because I went through a long and emotional and frankly unbelievable termination. I was very stunned that I was let go but, Ben and Ted were able to be calm for me in the storm and they were also my voice to a big giant. They found things from my employment that they knew we...re not handled right. They informed me every step of the way with every phone call, every meeting they always let me know how my case was going. The amount of time they invested was above and beyond any attorney I have known. Even though I went through a terrible termination I gained my confidence back and I definitely was able to move on knowing someone else believed in me and what happened within my workplace. I am truly blessed to have such caring attorneys. I can say that I would recommend Ben and Ted without any hesitation.
