Attorney Wayne Wilson is an Estate Planning Law Specialist and Accredited Estate Planner as certified by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and accredited by the American Bar Association. Attorney Wilson is a founding member and past chairman of the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is a Fellow and past President of EPICOR (Estate Planning Institute of Collaborative Resources, Member and past President of the Madison Estate Council, and an active member of WealthCounsel, LLC and ElderCounsel, LLC. He maintains his professional membership in the Elder Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the STate Bar of Wisconsin.
Attorney Wilson is licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, having been admitted to the Bar in 1973. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeal, 7th and 8th Circuits, and the United States District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. A 1970 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wayne earned a BA degree in Political Science, followed by a JD degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1973. Attorney Wilson is a frequent lecturer to various professional organizations concerning issues of Wealth Strategy counseling, with a special focus on programs designed for the professional advisor. He is the co-author of Generations: Planning Your Legacy (1999), Your Life, Your Legacy: The Fundamentals of Estate Planning (2003 First, 2005 Second, and 2009 Third Editions), Your Life, Your Legacy II: Protecting Those You Love (2013), as well as numerous articles on various estate planning issues.
