He is also committed to his community through involvement in the Optimist Club, being an active AALA member, and through his activity in the Middleton High School Boys Lacrosse program (President).

Very knowledgeable
Daniel was very helpful as we worked through our estate planning. He answered all of our questions, and came up with scenarios that we might not have thought about. He was respectful of our decisions, and really helped us take ownership of our plans for the future. I would highly recommend him.

He was very helpful years ago with setting up my mom’s trust, so when my husband and I decided to set up our own, I never gave it a second thought that I wouldn’t go back to Dan again. He was as thoughtful and helpful as we expected he would be.

Common sense trust advice delivered in simple language
We have worked with Dan for years. We knew very little about trust plans when we first contacted Dan but knew we wanted a trust plan for estate tax purposes and to help our family more easily deal with our estate and our health care choices. Dan took the time to figure out what we wanted and then gave us common sense advice in easy to understand language. He continues to offer sound advice during our periodic reviews of our trust. The end result is a very organized and detailed trust plan that will be very helpful to our family when the time comes.

Multiple generations
Dan has been doing my work for 10 years. Did my Dad's trust, my trust, and set up an LLC for my business. Glad I made that first call 10 years ago. I will not hesitate to call him again when I need to have anything updated or if I just have a question. My son is going to use Dan to do a will for his family, that will be 3 generations. Thanks Dan

Dan knows trusts
Dan has helped set up and maintain our trust for many years. We meet every two years and he always makes sure things are updated for the latest legal changes. He is very open to meeting with all sorts of folks to talk through their situation. Since our sons are out of town he was very open to meeting one on one with them to explain the administration of our trust. Setting up a trust gives peace of mind about the future. We are very glad that we continue to use the services of Wilson Law.

Trust vs Will
We met with Dan to discuss wills vs trusts. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He laid out plainly the options available and the benefits a will or trust would provide. He was professional while also being personable.

Very thorough Revocable Trust
We wanted to get our will done. While looking for a professional, we came across the Wilson Law group. The mission statement of integrity, trust and personalization with estate planning was exactly what we were looking for. We found that Daniel Purtell to be of great help with sorting out what our needs and wants. Daniel gave us information on both wills and revocable trusts. After hearing all the information, along with the pros and cons of both, we decided to do a Revocable Trust. Daniel made us feel comfortable, answered all our questions and was very professional. We would recommend Daniel B. Purtell for your estate planning needs.

Trust Document Review
Dan helped us set up our Trust documents a year ago. This was a review to ensure the documents still made sense and fit our needs. We were very happy with what he provided us and had only a couple of minor changes. Again, since it had been a year, he went through the existing documents and made sure we were not only comfortable with what they provided for our family, but also any new questions we had were clearly and concisely answered. I would recommend Dan to anyone looking to set up trust document as he is thorough in his initial analysis and provides recommendations to cover the client's needs. He is also flexible in making requested changes and never tries to pressure a client into a specific decision. Instead he lays out your option and the ramifications of each. We are very satisfied with what Dan has done for our family.
