Anthony Cotton is by far the best defense lawyer I have ever seen in action. I hired him for my OWI case and he went above and beyond for me throughout my case that went to trial. I met with him and discussed all case details with him. He explained what he could do for my defense and was very informative regarding what he was going to do to represent me. He investigated every aspect of information that he received given from me and the police report's. He studied this information looking at what happened and applied his knowledge of the law where he found errors in the reports and looked and found many errors that were made by others in there report's of what happened. He is highly intelligent and you can see that he is working for you really hard because he doesn't miss anything. If it's there he is going to find it following through with reporting it. He really takes his time and pride in his work, he is the type of person that double checks his work for accuracy and double checks the work of others reporting in the case. He expects there work to be correct lf he finds it to be sloppy or incorrect he informs the court and follows through that it be noted and proceeds with taking action on it. He is respected and very well liked by the employees in the court system. His personality is charismatic and people are drawn to him. I also must speak for his demeanor very calm even when others are provoking him, he can really stay calm and professional in front of others trying to use bouistric antics to provoke a response he is not ever shaken. Every step of the way I was informed and told what's next and what's expected of me. His respect and ability to keep a non threatening intense questions and answers with wittness is remarkable he has a way of wording his question's that he shows respect and gets a better result for it. He always informed me by mail and phone of any changes I never was surprised of any changes. He was always on time and totally prepared for court. He always talked with me before entering each time we went. There were many challenging scenarios to my case and Anthony tackled them all to the very end. My case went to trial and he instructed me on how trial works. How they expect me to answer questions. He watches closely and would interject if he thinks his client is confused to the question which he showed he always had his mind on me and my case. I felt comfortable and really just protected by having the privilege to have him sitting next to me on my side during my court appearances and at my trial. I remember being nervous and distracted one day, and he calmly said I need you to stop what you are doing and listen to me right now it's what I'm saying right now that is what you need to focus on. I knew I had a moment of nerves and was being ADD at that time but it was how nice he snapped me out of it that mattered to me. He has class to his actions and thinks before he talks. Even at the very end of my case he never faltered, he never gave up. I gaurentee any other person would not have kept on doing for me as he did. Even when it was done it wasn't done for him he kept helping me as if I was the most important person in the world and he made me feel like that because I would have to have been blind to not see that he really did care about what happened to me and my well being. I will forever remember and be grateful that he was my lawyer nobody else as a Lawyer with how busy they are would have done what he all did for me. He went far and above the call of duty that he did for me he just did it and I will never forget the character of this man. I was on felony paper for battery intimidation of a victim. I absconded for 7 years. I called other attorneys and they didn't give me much hope. I consulted with Tony and he gave me hope. He didn't sugar coat anything, he's straight to the point. He covers all angles and all the what ifs... He dots every eye and crosses every T. I ended up with a sweet deal. 9 months with good time and work release. I did community service and was able to get out in a little over 4 months.. With "NO" probation. As the Title states, "The Best Damn Criminal Defense Attorney In Wisconsin" Tony was referred to me by a friend, that utilized his services and had outstanding results. I caught a 5th. OWI case, my first attorney was so incompetent that he lost my cash bail, as I was in the County Jail on a probation violation and the only thing that came out of his vocal cords was "You are going to prison" I immediately terminated his services and hired another attorney from that area. The only thing this attorney did was buy me time by filing motions, but the recommendation was still prison from the A.D.A, needless to say, that was $2,5000 flushed right down the toilet, along with a worthless private PSI that I got hoodwinked into spending $2,200 on, so I terminated his services and hired Mr. Cotton and his firm. When I first met with Tony and an associate of his, I felt a sense of relief, as Tony used terminology that his predecessors did not, he told me to relax and that they are experts at being "creative" He reviewed my case and agreed to take it on, it wasn't cheap, but it was a hell of a lot less than losing a 60k a year job as a salaried manager, well worth the initial investment. Tony was able to resolve the matter in 7 months to an agreement the was amicable and agreeable to all parties involved, which his two predecessors couldn't do in a combined time of 2 1/2 years. His professionalism, creativity and communication skills are second to none. To make a long story short, I received house arrest, probation and a nominal fine and that my friends, in my book, is what is called; "Being Creative" I'm now in the comfort of my own home, going to work everyday, eating home cooked meals (It beats processed turkey in prison, that isn't fit for consumption by animal) and kicking back enjoying my 55" flat screen television, along with cable and all of the pay channels. "Riddle me this folks" Can you get that in prison? The answer is HELL TO THE NO! He is a "Super Attorney" and should be flying into a courtroom with a cape and an "S" on his shirt! Well, that's my review of Anthony Cotton, so if you get yourself into a bind, call the "Man with the plan"
