Appalling. Took my money then removed himself as council.

Mr. Flynn quoted me $1,500 earlier this year to bring a desired result. I gave him $2,000 at our first and only meeting. After zero communication, except a call from an assistant to come in and sign a document, I received a bill for approx. $1,600. Included was $600 for the meeting where he needed ...only names, addresses, and SS#'s, $300 to have another person input that info into a standard form, $130 for me to stand in lobby and sign form, and $150 to have that form delivered to courthouse (mail would have been acceptable). I asked him to be reasonable with the bill, and hold off on work until we agreed on the bill. I told him I was out of money. He promised to call me. He didn't. He, instead, had himself removed as my council; and, I learned this am; told the court (which was completely untrue) that I no longer wished to pursue my case. Fortunately, the judge made him inform me about two dates previously set-up for me with the court. So, I showed up this morning. They were surprised to see me. My case will continue. Only with the help of another lawyer friend was I able to get copies of the items Mr. Flynn had filed with the court on my (and his own) behalf; and learn the time and location of my meeting this am. I received no conversation about the case from Mr. Flynn. Two weeks after I'd asked him, via text, in April, to stop working until we can get a handle on his fees; his office scheduled a court date for me. They sent me an e-mail I never saw. I wasn't expecting any e-mails from them. A month later, I received a rude: "YOU HAVE A COURT DATE TOMORROW! phone call from his assistant. They cancelled that court date; but made two more,..one this morning. In the midst of this my father died. I had little energy to track him down. I don't know about his other clients. I do find it interesting that nearly every other review is from a lawyer (Is this a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" situation?). Things told to me by his assistant in our meeting, after he left the room, would indicate that I am not the only unhappy "client". It's possible that all of the more than 180 people for whom he has been named "guardian" share my sentiments. I should have walked out when I heard that; but I trusted the lawyer who referred him to me; because I trusted that lawyer's Dad. I wanted so badly to be able to be able to trust that Mr. Flynn would have my best interests in mind, and conduct himself professionally, ethically and reliably; I chose not to trust "my gut". I made the wrong choice.

While it is always unfortunate to read one-star reviews, to the extent they contain the proverbial "kernel of truth", we take them to heart and try to learn from a former client's comments. This review has many misstatements but it is true that our relationship with this client soured early, and ended badly. We take pride in trying to solve tough legal problems for our clients. In this case, what we were asked to repair was beyond repair. In hindsight, we should have declined the case entirely. Instead, we took the case and when our attorney-client relationship began to break down, we prepared the necessary paperwork to get off the case. Essentially, we had to fire our client. When doing so, we were careful to communicate all necessary information to the client. Matters that proceed to the family court are always stressful thus, it is a difficult industry in which to maintain client satisfaction. We do our best to achieve this satisfaction and due to our constant efforts, we have a mostly-satisfied clientele. As this review demonstrates, however, we fall short in some cases. For our part, we will reach out to this person and attempt to make it right.

Went Above and Beyond What I Could Have Expected

After meeting with a couple lawyers it became apparent that Tim Flynn was the only one I could trust. Not only did he respond quickly, but he was more than proactive throughout my case. I felt like I was in good hands and having him as my lawyer lifted an incredible weight off my shoulders. I was ...charged with a felony in a criminal case and Mr. Flynn was able to get the charges completely dropped! My case was dismissed and I didn't even need to appear in court. I appreciate the hard working, diligent lawyer that he is and I would recommend him to anyone.

One of the single best decisions of my life

It is not an exaggeration when I say that having Timothy Flynn and his associates working my case may have been one of the single best decisions of my life! Tim steps up to a challenge with Power, confidence, knowledge and prestige! His team worked tirelessly to prepare and always showed up r...eady for anything. They gave me clear honest answers and kept me informed on what to expect right through the entire overwhelming legal process. They are compassionate towards the fact that this is their everyday goings on, but that most of us only have to deal with this once in a lifetime. Not just a divorce, but a custody battle! My husband picked the biggest sleazeball, dirty dealing, high result lawyer he could find. The kind of lawyer that nightmares are made of! I have no doubt after a very nasty fight this man would have buried me alive, not only ,taking my child but leaving me with a mountain of legal fees and marital debt! Timothy Flynn and his team were forced to anticipate every trick in the book while dealing with this case and anticipate they did! Bringing me through my divorce not only in one piece but with a beautiful smile at the outcome! You get what you pay for people and these are not bottom of the barrel prices, but Tim was ALWAYS fair with me and never tried to nickle and dime me! Even simple things like dealing with me through text and emails to cut costs on expensive time consuming phone calls to help keep down my billing. This legal teams professionalism and commitment are astounding and I hold them in the highest regard and will recommend them to anyone needing legal representation! Call them! You will never be sorry that you did!

keep your money in a criminal/traffic case

I wouldn't recommend timothy Flynn for anything criminal or traffic related. I used tim for A traffic misdemenor. In my case i passed a car to avoid an accident in a non pass zone. I was chased by an unmarked silver minivan by an off duty police officer And I was threatened. Tim enocouraged me ...to take a bench trial. I was looking For emotion from the jury because I'm still getting flashbacks today. Tim Implied that his ties to the court would make it a sure win when jury trials are 50/50 at best. He told me in the end to take a plea. I made it clear in the begaining I would not. I told him once again I expect a jury trial and I'm holding him financaly responsable if I lost. After a brief argument he said fine. Before we entered the court I witnessed tim Shake the very same officers hand. I should have fired him then and their and I should have asked for A new attorney and a jury trial.

This was a client from over 5-years ago. He did want a trial on a traffic ticket and it did not work out for him (or me). The case involved a dangerous high-speed police chase along the bends and curves of Clarkston Rd. After a 4-mile chase, the officer finally pulled Brian over and issued a reckless driving ticket. I was not present, but I think some harsh words were exchanged between my former client and the cop. Both the officer and Brian had divergent widely divergent views of how this went down. We were offered a reduced plea [impeding traffic; no points; just a fine] that Brian rejected out-of-hand. So be it; the only option at that point was a jury trial (for a traffic ticket) or a bench trial. Brian is right, I recommended a bench trial over a jury and we lost. He is also right that, with hindsight, a jury trial would have been better. I did feel the reduced ticket offer was reasonable and did try to convince Brian to take the deal. I don't know for sure, but I think this client paid $750; for the trial. I am sorry that I was involved in this case at all. Now, almost 6-years later, I still have this guy dogging me on the Internet, texting me every few months on my cell with veiled threats, and now this raunchy review. If he is having nightmares over a traffic ticket from six years ago, then this dude needs to "get a life" and perhaps seek some professional help; he needs to let go of these events and stop blaming the lawyer for actions that he took. It is, however, a crucial part of the legal industry, and I can take it. I have learned from this case, and am a better lawyer because of this guy.

Great lawyer, great results.

Without hesitation, I would recommend Tim Flynn to family and friends for legal representation. Retaining him for my case was the single most important and impactful decision I made throughout the course of my divorce. Mr. Flynn’s is an extremely professional attorney but more importantly for me – h...e is also a great listener. He took time to understand my unique situation and ensure that my personal priorities were addressed in a manner I could feel very good about. He is supported by a great staff that made sure I knew what to expect at every step. The advice and guidance given to me throughout my case was crucial in providing me a positive outcome and in retrospect he gave me the right advice at every step in my case. Mr. Flynn was extremely professional, hard-working, knowledgeable, caring and engaged from start to finish. Based on my experience – I would strongly recommend his services.
