Helped Solve a Subdivision Association Mystery

My subdivision was built in the 60's and turns out it was ahead of its time as it has a neighborhood park and other common areas. There had been an issue with getting residents to pay a modest fee to help maintain common areas. The neighborhood association had been looking for answers to whether the...y had an enforceable way to collect dues. This question went on unresolved for years with getting differing answers from different sources they sought out. Being a newer resident to the neighborhood, I wanted to help out. I happened to meet Larry and in talking found out his area of practice included real estate law and was very knowledgeable HOA law. Larry was able to pull original deeds and give a sound legal opinion on how we should proceed. It has been a great relief to finally have this issue solved and the entire neighborhood is grateful. Larry is an excellent attorney and even better person. A true class act.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
