Gerard Mantese

Gerard V. Mantese founded the firm after leaving as a senior partner from one of the largest law firms in Detroit. He is one of the top trial attorneys in the State of Michigan, having recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. Every year, his verdicts and settlements rank among the top recoveries in the State of Michigan. He consistently obtains the most and largest business law verdicts and settlements in the State of Michigan.

In January 2016, Lawyers Weekly reported that five of his recoveries were among the top recoveries in the State, including the #1 settlement in a shareholder case and the second largest class action in the amount of $58 Million.  In January of 2014, Lawyers Weekly reported that five of his recoveries were in the million and multi-million dollar range. In January 2013, Lawyers Weekly again reported that Mr. Mantese secured several multi-million dollar recoveries, including the #1 settlement ($13 Million) of a shareholder dispute, obtained on the 5th day of . Mantese works tirelessly and cost effectively for his clients. He brings a penetrating analysis and a tenacious and bold approach to every case. He is recognized as an outstanding business attorney and was retained to argue the first shareholder oppression case ever taken on appeal by the Michigan Supreme Court. He argued this case, Madugula v. Taub, in the high court on December 10, 2013. Mr. Mantese has also briefed and prevailed on cases in the U.S. Supreme . Mr. Mantese has taught pre-trial procedure and trial practice at Wayne State University of Law and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
