Truly - i will never hire another lawyer. The experience i had with David, as well as the team he takes such pride in, was better than any experience I've ever had with a lawyer and I've had more than anyone should because i have a jerk for an ex husband. Who always put our kids in the middle and alw...ays won. Until he got into a court room with David. And since that day, my life has been better and better. He doesn't try to bully me anymore because he learned the hard way that he was way way outmatched against David Steele (and my God was it a beautiful sight to see that lesson administered) that he couldn't even begin to bully David. It was very clear that we were not in his world that day, we were in David's. And he is an expert at what he does. You'll never know how much i owe you David. Thank you. My children thank you and my parents thank you. God bless you and yours. Also - i know full well that should have cost more no matter what you tell me. Remember how many lawyers I've had? I know pricing and i know full well you took it easy on me because you know my husband had practically bankrupted me with court proceedings, always getting the better of whatever cheap attorney i brought with me. Until a friend gave David SUCH a glowing reference that, even though i didn't think he could possibly live up to what she was saying, i called him, liked him immediately and he got me into his office the very next day. Now I'm the one writing a review i don't expect anyone to believe. Because all you hear about lawyers is bad stuff. But all you hear about David is good. Which is why I read the couple bad reviews posted on here just bc i couldn't understand how anyone had a bad experience with David, not th David we came to know and trust with our lives. Turns out both reviews were written by the same guy with a grudge. And of course the two people out of 45 who gave less that an A+ were their own worst problems. The one guy who pretended to be two didn't EVEN SHOW UP TO HIS FINAL HEARING and OF course blames David! Tells you about all you need to know. Hire David Steele and don't look back.

David Steele is not only an incredible attorney but an amazing individual. He is timely on responding back to any concerns as well as be considerate towards your situation. Many attorneys are just out for money and that is not the case here. He does everything he can to make sure you are taken care o...f and helps to put your mind at ease. My ex-fiancé kept threatening me with filing a contempt in court because I "wouldn't let him see his son" when really he just wanted to see him when it was convenient for him, making me drop everything and anything or he would "call the cops". He had me terrified. Mr. Steele informed me that, due the paper work we had signed, he was not able to do this and took a huge weight of stress and worry off my shoulders. I just hired David as my attorney but I had to get on here and add to his fabulous reviews because of how good he has treated me already! I am hiring David to take over my current custody case. This is what I am used to in a lawyer...someone that takes forever to call you back (because you sure don't... get them on the phone the first time you call) , vague answers in emails so you will write again to rack up more money, and someone that doesn't really care just in general. My previous lawyer is why I thought this and all the mistakes that have been made through this whole process! As much as I didn't like the idea of getting a new lawyer because I didn't know if they were going to be exactly the same as the one I had and wasting more money I knew I had to because I was getting absolutely nowhere. So I started really searching for someone that might actually know what they are doing and I stumbled across David on this website. Seeing all of the excellent reviews on him made me think hey this guy might actually be able to do something for me. So I called David's office and instead of talking to an assistant or having me leave my info with them and waiting on a callback they immediately connected me to David and it wasn't just transferring me to him in the office. They transferred me to his cell phone and I had an hour and half conversation with him! He was obviously out of the office doing other things but still took the time to talk to me. To me that is unheard of in a lawyer especially a lawyer that has no idea who you are and that isn't evena client! I have been nothing but completely stressed out over this whole situation for months! I have never felt at ease about any of it. After talking to him I felt so much stress actually lifted off my shoulders. I got off the phone actually happy. For a lawyer to have an immediate conversation with me for that long without even knowing if I'm going to actually hire him that says a lot in my book. He truly does care and is passionate about what he does and it isn't all about the money with this guy. His pricing is also very reasonable. At the end of the phone call I knew I just had to hire him. He even got me into his office the next day to run through everything real quick and to fill out paperwork. I am very excited to work with him and I cannot wait to see what he can do for me with my case. I'm sure when it's all done and over with I will be getting back on here to give a review on how he has helped me. Sites like these really do help tremendously when it comes to finding someone that is good at what they do. I just wish I would have seen this and hired him in the beginning!

David Steele saved my marriage. This sounds ridiculous, since he's a divorce attorney, and honestly, that would put him out of business, but I wish I could hire david on permanent retainer just to have him up my sleeve. My husband is an opiate addict, and has been for seventeen years, since the age... of fourteen. We have been together for three years, married for two, and have an eighteen month old son. (I know, try to keep up) I was unaware of his habit until a few weeks before I gave birth to our son. I spent the better part of a year trying to help him get clean, but he couldn't hold himself together for more than a day or two. Then one day he sold all of our sons things to a children's resale shop to buy heroin. I left with my son. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, and David was incredible. He reassured me throughout the process of filing for divorce, talked with me when I needed it, and generally just made himself available personally for any questions I had. My husband hired some sleazeball lawyer and claimed he wanted full custody, and child support, because I had a d felony marijuana charge from four years prior. I was terrified. David hit back hard, per his usual style, and honestly, it was a serious reality check for my husband. When he learned I had David representing me, he realized he was really going to lose us, and got help. David is worth every penny, and then some. He has a wife and family of his own, and he's not just in it for the money. I think David honestly just wants to help people, and who needs more help than a woman with children going through an ugly divorce? And even those men who are in need in a mother-preferred state like Indiana who are a better choice for their children than an irresponsible or reckless mother. There's a reason that when you typed in "best Indianapolis lawyers", it led you to this review. That's exactly how I found him. Hire David Steele. Before your ex does.

I hired David in April 2014 to handle a custody modification with a hostile ex. I literally googled “aggressive attorney Indianapolis” and found David on this site and couldn’t be more grateful. David has done more for me in the last month than my previous attorney did for me in 10 years! My ex repre...sents himself in court, despite having no legal training, and likes to file multiple motions and force hearings he knows will require me to hire representation. I relocated out of state for work and let my teenaged son remain with his father per my son’s wishes. When my son decided he wanted to relocate with me I hired David to represent me in a custody modification, in addition to the support modification filed by my ex more than 6 months after my relocation (despite multiple efforts by me and my counsel to get my ex to agree to a custody/support modification document prior to my relocation). In addition my ex was denying me summer visitation with my son. David went above and beyond trying to get my ex to agree to a temporary agreement on support and visitation so we wouldn’t have a hearing on the support issue, only custody. My ex refused, knowing I would need to drive from out of state to attend, and even told David he “had nothing to lose” by going to court. David told him there would be consequences to forcing a hearing and he proved it! First the judge ordered far less support than he was seeking—and far less than was offered him in the agreement David drew up prior to the hearing. Secondly, David managed to get the judge to order my ex to turn my son over to me for 7 weeks of summer visitation, much more than the two weeks we were seeking in the agreement AND despite the judge initially saying she would not rule on visitation, only support. Thirdly, he proved my ex flat out lied to the judge! When David followed up with a rather sarcastic email telling my ex the dates for my summer visitation he also let my ex know he would seek to recoup my attorney fees if my ex perjured himself in court again. My ex replied that he emailed the prosecutor (interpretation: went crying to the prosecutor) accusing David of threatening him! There were threats, but they were threats David made good on! He told my ex if we go to court my ex would be walking out of court wondering just what happened, and he was. He told him he was now taking this case personally, and he did. We still have a custody hearing in a couple of months and I personally cannot wait to see what David has in store for my ex. I have every confidence my son will be living with me full time in the next few months and have David to thank for that. In the ten years I have been dealing with my ex I have never felt so confident that justice will be served and that my ex will be exposed to the court for lying, manipulating, and wasting the court’s time. This is the first time in ten years I’ve felt like someone has my back and will not let this person take advantage of me and the court. Until this week, every time I walked out of the courtroom I’ve felt like I’ve been screwed by the system, but not this week. David Steele will get you results. He cares more about his clients getting the outcome they deserve than his bill. He has steeply discounted my rates, charging about half of what he could have, because he knows my ex’s goal is to incur legal fees I have to pay. You will not regret hiring him for even one minute!
