Excellent Attorney
I hired Ed after my first attempt to receive SS disability was denied. He is a very detailed, thorough, and professional attorney. He took the time to review my medical history and then explained the process to me. He kept me informed and guided me through the process. He answered every email and returned all my calls. I don’t think that I could have found a harder working Attorney.

Mr Ahlers is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, responsive, kindhearted attorney. The quality and detail that he put into our case was more than we could have asked for. Never gave us false hope walked us through the all the process and procedures so we understood both sides! Every question we had was answered promptly, over all we couldn’t have been more lucky to find Mr. Ahlers!

Excellent Lawyer & Wonderful Person
We were referred to Ed thru another person. What an amazing decision. Ed was clear and upfront about how his practice operated & what we should expect thru the process. He always kept us informed & would answer any questions quickly. We felt Ed treated us as people first & clients second. Even his admin (Barb) operates in the same fashion. We are so happy we found Ed to help us thru a very confusing process.

Excellence, compassion and integrity!
From our very first contact to the conclusion of my husband's disability case, Ed Ahlers exceeded my expectations! The disability process can be so confusing, frustrating – not to mention protracted, but from the outset, Ed explained things in detail and was always quickly responsive when we reached out to him. His skills, savvy, and kindness (a too rare combination) are remarkable, and he was invariably candid, patient, and sincere during every phase of the process. Mr. Ahlers is truly a man of integrity and character. He made no promises as to the outcome but fought tooth and nail at every step. Ultimately, because of Ed’s expertise and hard work, our case had a favorable outcome. But perhaps just as important, both my husband and I felt validated and respected by Ed throughout his handling of the case. And his assistant Barb is also amazing and helpful! I truly cannot recommend Mr. Ahlers highly enough!

Couldn't Have Done It Without Him
Ed took my case when no one else would touch it due to how far along it was and how badly my previous lawyer had mishandled it. He saw a miscarriage of justice and truly embodied the purpose of his profession by fighting for the little guy. Thanks to Ed, I went from wholly up a creek to victorious! Not only was every move he made handled with flawless talent, he was also there on a (100% appropriate) personal level for when I was struggling with any aspect of my life. Extra bonus points for his infinite patience with my mental illnesses occasionally preventing me from being concise and, at times, even entirely intelligible, in our communications. I had a tendency to ramble excessively in emails to where my point was unclear and Ed was never fazed, and very reassuring when I realized I had done it. I cannot possibly list enough glowing remarks to properly express my gratitude and admiration. 'Thank you' doesn't begin to cover how much I appreciate his work!

Phenomenal Lawyer & Support Staff (Ed Ahlers & Barb Wright)
I passionately recommend the firm of Crowley Ahlers & Roth Co LPA and Ed Ahlers, specifically. When I was at my life's all-time low, with severe, debilitating mental and physical health problems that completely impeded my ability to work, I happened upon Ed Ahlers, Esq and the firm of Crowley, Ahlers and Roth. I cannot remember exactly how I discovered the fantastic lawyer who is Ed, but the find was one of the most fortuitous ones of my entire life. I cannot over-emphasize the extraordinary services that Ed (and his extremely competent and kind "right-hand woman," Barb) rendered to me, when I could barely function at all, beleaguered as I was by severe Bipolar I, Panic & Anxiety Disorder, and crippling Crohn's Disease. The tireless work (and over-and-above hours) put in by Ed (and Barb) quite literally saved my life. Ed worked arduously for over five long years, when a lesser lawyer (or person) would have assuredly given up. Not only did Ed function as a stellar advocate for my disability case, but he also became part of a vital support network of professionals. He was, without a doubt, as important to my mental health and well-being as were my psychiatrists, therapists, and gastroenterologists. Ed worked valiantly for me, when many obstacles arose. We soldiered on for five years and through a tremendously difficult appeals process to finally get two well-deserved disability cases approved. (I say "we," but it was really all Ed Ahlers and Barb who did the work; I was rendered useless by my mental health disorders.) When my conditions were at their absolute worst, and I could literally not function well enough to even fill out the disability application, Ed metaphorically "held my hand" over the phone, patiently walking me through the disorienting and stressful steps. Ed demonstrated commitment and compassion the like of which I have never encountered in any dealings with law firms, or even any other business professionals. That is saying a lot, because when I was working from 1990-2018, I worked hard and interacted with many professionals in the retail, medical, educational, public relations and donor relations fields. All of this entailed a lot of work with outside entities: "Big Wheels," one could say. When my first case was, incredibly and unjustly, denied (after my suicide attempt, 6 ECT treatments for catatonic depression, and a month-long hospital stay), Ed swiftly began the long/intense appeals process in November of 2018, writing a 40-page brief. I will stop now, lest I overwhelm a potential client with the sheer volume of my words of praise, but suffice it to say, this Ed Ahlers and Barb are “aces” in my book. I recommend this team without reservation and with great enthusiasm and gratitude.

Superb
I have used attorneys several times in my life. I can't say enough good things about Ed. Yes...he asked me to call him Ed. I filed my SSI/SSDI in August of 2019. Because of Covid the claim was stuck in processing for about 2 years. Was denied once processed. I then hired Ed for the appeal. He is like a dog with a bone! He explained very well the process. He calmed me down when the stress and anxiety of the process of the appeal took over. He kept me informed every step of the way. He worked with the claim adjuster VERY closely and all of my doctors to make sure what they reported was very clear on my conditions. He let me know that most appeals regarding my conditions were denied and what happens after the denial. Two months later, my 1st denial was approved! I truly know that because Ed made sure that he wasn't going to "let go of that bone" unless all my medical records submitted was top notch. He hasn't stopped there. He still is helping me with what happens next. Ex: Medicare. He didn't cut and run once his part in the process was completed. Here a just a few Adjectives. Knowledgeable Kind Through Very experienced Down to earth Call him if you want claim given the best chance. T. Neal

Social security disability
I hired Ed Ahlers to represent me after being declined by my own attempts two times. I am an RN who survived a ruptured brain aneurysm with minimal obvious effects. After being repeatedly unable to hold a position, and reviewing my history with him, he suggested getting our own testing, with recommendations found by this health care provider. We took it to trial and won the case! I am so grateful for all his help, professionalism, and kindness to get this judgment. He was always available, took the time to speak with me and answer my questions. Could not have had a better experience or outcome.

The Best Disability Attorney in The Greater Cincinnati Area!!!
Finding out that I would have to permanently leave the workforce due to my disability was one of the hardest things I had to go through in my life. I was one of the few people that truly loved what they did for a living. So, I was very fortunate to find Ed Ahlers to handle my disability claim. I was referred to Ed Ahlers by another attorney that I knew who was very familiar with disability law. She said if she ever personally needed a disability attorney, she would only use Ed Ahlers. She then followed up by saying that he was one of the smartest people she knows. As it turns out, she was correct, and this was an excellent referral! From my first visit with Ed Ahlers, he was very generous with his time, easy to talk to and was very knowledgeable with the whole disability process. I realized that I was in great hands. As the claim progressed through all the phases, he was extremely thorough and detail oriented. He always spent the time to talk with me and he emailed me regularly with updates on my claim. I also worked closely with Barb, his paralegal who was amazing! She was very patient with all my questions and timely with responses in following up. Not only was my disability claim approved on the first try, but Ed Ahlers has helped understand what to expect after the approval. He has answered all the questions that I had and given me a lot of great suggestions as well. If you are considering making a disability claim, I highly advise that you don't do it alone and I highly recommend Ed Ahlers. He should be your only call!

Awesome Job! Ed and Barb did an excellent job with my disability. You both had brought order to a chaotic, painful, situation. I had found Ed on a website I can say God approve in to work on my case. Ed and Barb performed with great care and completeness. They kept me update on everything that I needed to know. He was very clear with revealing detail of my case what I did not understand. I recommend Ed to anyone who need a lawyer to work on their disability. God bless you both

Ed and Barb are great!
Ed was referred to me by a friend, and he was great! He gave excellent advice, constant communication (from him or his assistant Barb), explained things great, and treated me great thru the entire process. He is very smart and knows what he's doing when it comes to disability claims. He made it so my claim was not a nightmare! I would highly recommend Ed and Barb to anyone looking for disability representation in the tri-state area. He was very professional and personable the entire time! He will ask you relevant questions and give you his honest opinion from day one and always followed up, staying in communication the entire time!! A+++

Ed is simply the best!
I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Ahlers. I was lucky to be referred to Ed by friends and am so glad I followed their advice. Ed took the time to learn the specifics of my SSDI case himself rather than relying on an assistant to relay the facts. As someone who formerly worked with attorneys, I was pleasantly surprised to have this one-on-one interaction with him. Throughout the case, Ed was always my point of contact and did a great job keeping me informed of where we were in the process. Mine was not an open and shut case due to some unusual circumstances. Other attorneys would have shied away from helping me but Ed took on the challenge and won a decision in my favor. Thanks to Ed I am financially secure again.

Ed cares about people!
Ed Ahlers is one of the nicest men I have ever met. He cares about his clients and was extremely thorough when handling my husband’s workers compensation claim. His law firm took care of my dad several decades ago and he was also recommended from an acquaintance. For 10 years, Ed took care of our claim and he got everything we were entitled to. He really cares about people! Both Ed and his assistant, Barb, are thorough and reply in a timely manner. I highly recommend Ed Ahlers!

Fantastic Lawyer!
Wonderful job. Ed Ahlers handled my disability claim after I was denied twice. Mr. Ahlers is extremely detailed, thorough and professional. The amount of time he spent working on my claim was extensive yet he was always quick to respond/answer all of my emails and calls. I could not have asked for a harder working advocate. Ed made what is surely a difficult and often disheartening experience much less stressful for me. I was extremely nervous about my hearing and worried about the outcome. Ed spent several hours going through details and preparing me for the hearing process. I highly recommend Mr Ahlers, he is worth so much more than the percentage designated.

Amazing
Mr. Ahlers was a wonderful Lawyer. He took the time to go over every inch of my case and to also make sure I was ready for my hearing. Mr. Ahlers never made me feel like I had a stupid question. He was very easy to work with and even if he had a full plate he never made my case and myself feel less important then another. Also his assistant Barb was wonderful she would send me documents and reach out to make sure I was doing good and didn’t have questions. I will be spreading the word of Mr.Ahlers great job to others looking for help. Thank you Again!

Excellent Attorney!
I was referred to Mr. Ahlers after I had been denied for SSI. I didn't know how to navigate the system and needed guidance. Mr. Ahlers was knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough and communicative. I felt better prepared for the appeal and as a result, was awarded SSI. I could not have done this without Mr. Ahler's help and I am so grateful! I highly recommend him.

Ed gets the job done!
If you’ve been denied Social Security Disability Insurance, I highly recommend Ed Ahlers to handle your reconsideration appeal. I have a very complex medical history. Ed is very relatable and really took the time to talk with me and understand my symptoms. Just as important, he was able to both cohesively and thoughtfully piece together my health history – which includes a multitude of tests, more than a few surgeries and multiple diagnoses from different specialists – and make a compelling case. When the judge pushed back at my hearing, Ed immediately consulted with my physicians and provided her with additional information/expert opinion needed to win my case. Rest assured, if Ed handles your appeal, he’ll work tirelessly to get you the result you need and deserve.
