I would recommend Ed Ahlers to anyone that is facing the possibility of , or has had their LTD benefits stopped by an insurance company. He was extremely helpful in getting my benefits reinstated. He walked me thru the process, explaining in simple terms the path that needed to be taking, I had no id...ea of what to do , or even how the appeal process worked. He guided me on the medical information that I would need to collect from my primary care physician and my pulmonologist concerning my updated medical condition. In addition to that, he advised me that a Functional Capacity Evaluation and a Vocational Assessment Report would be extremely helpful in my appeal. Mr. Ahlers filed all the necessary paperwork to the insurance company , including a lengthy and very professional letter explaining why their decision should be reversed and my benefits reinstated immediately . Mr Ahlers and his assistant Barb, who is very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable, kept me updated at all times and responded immediately to my phone calls , text messages and e-mails. Upon filing my appeal Ed called to let me know the insurance company had 45 days to review and respond . He called me two weeks later to give me the awesome news that the insurance company had contacted him to let him know that after reviewing the documents he had sent, they agreed my benefits would be re-instated. Through some research of my own I was lucky to have found him.
