EXCEPTIONAL ATTORNEY

Steve Oberman is the only attorney you want and need when charged with DUI and related criminal charges. He is very thorough, extremely knowledgeable, very straightforward and honest, and will go above and beyond to provide the best possible defense. He thinks outside the box but within the law to ...provide the best resolution now and in the future. Steve is, without a doubt, the best attorney and a compassionate human being. I highly recommend him – you will not regret it!

Oberman is the Only Attorney you Should Even Consider

Steve Oberman literally wrote the book on DUI Defense that all the other TN attorneys utilize as their playbook while defending DUI clients. He is the “DUI Godfather,” and is objectively *the* most bulletproof shield you could possibly obtain if you are charged with this crime. He is expensive, but... you truly get what you pay for (and beyond, honestly). I consulted with Mr. Oberman after being charged with a 3rd offense DUI, after other local attorneys told me he was the best. I consider myself very lucky that he agreed to take on my ultra complicated case, because his time is limited and he is picky about the cases he accepts. He is a major perfectionist, and will not commit to anything unless he knows he can carry it out flawlessly. We spent a whole year working hand in hand, while he fought tooth and nail to obtain a favorable outcome for me. This man never takes any shortcuts and makes himself constantly available any time you need him for anything—including on weekends or when he’s out of the country! He leaves no stone unturned, and truly takes control of his cases with an iron fist. He is tough, but it’s because he is a bulldog and he is determined to get only the very best for his clients. Lastly, during my very darkest of hours while I was serving my (extremely short and miraculous) sentence—I was able to count on Oberman to rescue me on numerous occasions. It put me to tears, the sense of relief and security that he was able to provide me with. No other attorney could ever compare. When you hire Steve Oberman, you are hiring a personal protector that you will have a strong personal relationship with. Also, you are paying for his name…because it carries a ton of weight. From my personal experience, law enforcement officers do not mess with you once they find out you are Oberman’s client. They know better. I would also like to mention his legal assistant, Meghan Williams, who is a darling sweet lady that works just as diligently in her own capacity. She is very knowledgeable and always on point, which has guaranteed things to always run smoothly within that office. Oberman’s partners “AZ” and Sara Rice have also been a breath of fresh air (and they both have stepped in to assist in my case at times as well). The attorneys at Oberman and Rice have meetings each day where they all collaborate and contribute thoughts/ideas/suggestions for one another’s cases, so you are really getting a whole legal team any time you hire any of them! In conclusion, I would strongly suggest you give Steve Oberman a call immediately if you are charged with Driving Under the Influence. It’s critical that you obtain representation immediately, because there are steps he can take very early on that will greatly affect your outcome and future. Other lawyers may be cheaper, but they will treat you like just a number (I know because I’ve hired others in the past). Oberman will make you feel like you are his #1 and only priority. Give him a call.

Steve Oberman; Exceptional Lawyer and Human Being

Steve Oberman and his team came highly recommended to me when I found myself in an unexpected and serious legal situation. At the very first meeting, Steve laid out the intricacies of my case and all of the potential outcomes. Throughout the legal process, he was systematic in his approach, honest in... his assessments and thorough with his work. He under-promised and over-delivered. Not once did he say "I will guarantee this" or "this is going to happen." Instead, he viewed my case through a legal lens with no personal bias. In the end, he delivered on his initial goals of where he thought he'd be able to help me and he achieved a desirable result. On a personal note, he showed genuine interest in me as a person, as opposed to just his client. After the case, he made personal calls to check on my health and wellness, as the case took a mental, physical, and emotional toll on me. I'd recommend him to my closest friends and family and I certainly recommend him to anyone who is in need of legal assistance. Steve is exceptional both as a person and a professional.

Great Experience

Mr. Oberman assisted me in a difficult case, and got me an extremely favorable outcome. He was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to making decisions on my case.

Helping Lead Youth to Maturity

Young people do not always make the best decisions or exercise prudent judgment. Such was the case for my son that found himself charged with DUI; a potentially detrimental start to adulthood. Steve not only helped him reach the absolute best outcome, he also was part of my son rising to a new leve...l of maturity. Steve's patience, direction, and more importantly expertise in the legal arena is, in my opinion, without equal.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
