Lewis Alvin Williams

I find it difficult to accurately verbalize the debt of my gratitude to Lewis. After consulting with five other attorney's, I hired Lewis to represent me in my rather messy and stressful divorce. Lewis knows how important it is for the client to be aware of the overall process and the various obsta...cles that are possible in a divorce proceeding. Lewis and his assistant, Laura, were quick to respond to any questions I had with answers that not only educated me but also put my mind at ease. Regardless of the fact that my spouse repeatedly tried to draw out or stall the process, Lewis and Laura maintained the forward momentum. Lewis did an excellent job defending me when my spouse made numerous false and ugly accusations. Throughout it all, Lewis conducted himself in a professional manner, kept each court appearance (of which, there were many) on topic, went above and beyond by drafting and submitting all court orders without delay, and received several compliments from the Judge for his professionalism and performance. Unlike my spouse, the Judge never had to openly criticize or chastise my attorney. Lewis and Laura (his assistant) are a wonderful team. In my case, they most definitely set the standard and raised the bar with regards to the level of service that each client should expect to receive from their chosen representative. I received a fair and equitable settlement in my divorce because Lewis was not willing to accept anything less. He effectively protected my rights, ensured that I received the assets that I was entitled to, and did not allow my spouse to leave me with all of the debt. I have already passed his name on to two friends that are considering divorce and I will continue to refer others to him. While my divorce ended up costing me far more than many others that I know (we appeared in court on six occasions for one issue) I am confident that I received the very best representation possible in a divorce that was drawn out by my spouse. The hourly rate charged by Lewis was comparable to the rates quoted by the five other attorneys that I contacted prior to filing the divorce action. I have nothing negative to say about Lewis and I am truly pleased with all of his hard work.

Lewis handled my divorce. He always made sure that I knew exactly what would happen. He answered all of my questions, taking the time to make sure I knew and understood whatever it was. Lewis did a wonderful job representing me. Divorce is something I never wanted in my life. I took my vows very seriously and intended to keep them. I had been through way too much for way too long and then I experienced the ultimate betrayal. This was a very stressful time for me. He prepared a very fair, even offer for the marital dissolution agreement. That was rejected by my ex-husband so we went to mediation. Lewis and his paralegal, Laura, meticulously prepared my case. Lewis was there with me during mediation making sure that I had proper representation and making sure that I got a fair settlement. I remember Lewis telling me during the mediation that I will be fine after the divorce and those were words of encouragement that were so nice to hear. Lewis explained the final court proceeding so that I was comfortable and prepared. Lewis prepared the Quit Claim Deed needed to have the house put in my name. After my divorce was final, I realized that I needed a Will to be sure my assets will go to my family and make things easier for them when I die. I asked Lewis if he could help me with that too and he did. I cannot thank Lewis enough for all he did to represent me. He has given me some peace back in my life and I am forever grateful.

Lewis was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful throughout my divorce. He was so thorough that the judge actually commented on the detail of the information that he had submitted. He also has an awesome paralegal who helps to make sure that the process is as seamless as possible - friendly and... quick to respond in detail to questions. Hopefully I'll only ever need the one divorce myself (!) but I'd recommend Lewis to anyone that needs a divorce lawyer themselves.
