Excellent Choice Lawyer

Matt fighted for our case for 2 1/2 years for a Personal Injury case resulting from a semi crash. He recommended the Drs for my husband to see to prove our case even more. If you are looking for a Atty that will do everything in his power to help you, Matt is the Lawyer to pick!! His secretary is won...derful and will help answer questions if Matt is unavailable to speak to directly. She is very kind and courteous. If looking for a good Atty, this office is absolutely THE BEST!!!

Terrible experience

Matthew never kept me updated on my case all my documents looked liked they were rushed with no effort. I just had a really bad experience with his firm and after 3 and a half years of working my case he decides to drop the case because he didn't want to spend the money to go to trial and some other... terrible excuses. Don't waste your time go hire Mr. David Hardy I hear he is awesome.

While it's unfortunate that this person chose to post anonymously, I would be glad to address it offline, should you wish to let me know who you are. While there are many reasons not to proceed to a jury trial "not wanting to spend money" is not a reason. However, if there is no chance of winning a trial because evidence did not pan out the way we had hoped OR there is no insurance to recover (for example if the defendant did not have insurance) - OR the defendant has no assets to recover from, are all legitimate reasons why one may not want to continue to trial after the discovery period. Bear in mind that if a client loses at trial, he or she will be forced to pay the other side's costs and possibly their attorney fees which can run into the tens of thousands of dollars and could result in the necessity of filing bankruptcy for the client and leave them worse off than if the case had never gone to trial. There is a period in civil litigation called "discovery" where a lawyers seeks to gather evidence of the defendant's wrongdoing. Sometimes, the evidence to win at trial is just not there and that means the plaintiff (injured person) loses because they bear the "burden of proof". Clients can also neglect to share (or lie about) critical pieces of information with their lawyer, which can change the course of proceeding before trial. For example, I once took a case to trial early in my career where I had learned my client was drunk and on pain-killers and had not been forthcoming of that fact with me when I agreed to take their case. The client lost at trial because juries can find the injured person to be at fault. In that case, the jury did just that because my client was drunk and high and did not remember what happened. It is hard to prove a case under those facts. It is always a difficult decision not to go to trial, but one that ultimately is in the best interest of the clients, if they would have ended up worse off than before the accident happened.

Malpractice

Not only is Matt Wright an amazing lawyer but he is also a wonderful person! I didn't know Matt until I contacted him about representing me in a malpractice case for the wrongful death of my 22 year old daughter, a college student who presented to the emergency room in the city where she was going ...to school but was misdiagnosed and untreated for bacterial meningitis. I am a registered nurse and had spoken to a couple of lawyers about the case (lawyers who were local and also my personal friends) but I couldn't make them understand how this was a malpractice case. The first time I talked to Matt, he immediately understood--he got it. While working on the case, Matt realized that I needed to be included and didn't shut me out in the 2 years it took to get the case into court. He kept me informed and included me whenever he could in the process. We spoke or emailed quite often and he was always available for me whether it was days, nights, weekends, or holidays. If I needed to speak with him urgently, I knew how to get in touch with him. Other lawyers will tell you whatever you want to hear regardless of the facts however Matt has always been truthful with me. If we can win an argument or appeal, he tells me; if we can't win, he tells me. He doesn't lead me to believe that everything's going to turn out just like I want, he prepares me for the truth and that's what I want in a lawyer. He is the best lawyer that I know (or have ever known) and I would never use anyone but him for legal representation. Matt is not just an incredible lawyer, he's also a wonderful person and friend. Working on this case was very difficult for me--sitting through depositions and testimony, listening to people lie in an attempt to cover their mistakes. Matt has children and I could see he empathized with my loss which made him even more determined to win the case.

I couldn't ask for a better lawyer!

I couldn't have dreamed up a better person. I wish the world could know what a wonderful experience my family and I had. Mr. Wright honestly cared about our situation, and through him were able to pick up the pieces and move forward after loss and heartache. I saw in him honesty, intelligence, loya...lty, and kindness. I felt like I was his only client! I recommend this person to everyone. Thanks Matt for changing our lives!

Matt Wright vs. 2 trucking companies

Matt and his crew represented my uncle after a fatal car wreck my aunt was in loved in. Matt worked around the clock, as well as the other attorneys. Matt kept my uncle and I up to date on everything and was as nice, understanding, and sympathetic as anyone could ask for!!
